The Tooling Procurement team plays a critical role in the procurement process of Dyson’s injection moulding tools.

This person will lead the sourcing activities for our Tooling category, together with the team or depending on the experience lead the team. The tooling category is a true cross-functional team and will have extensive engagement with and support from cross-functional teams and key internal and external stakeholders.  He/she will have to lead the RFQ process, including the supplier selection, the toolmaker (allocation) strategy, toolmaker capacity agenda and conduct performance reviews with the toolmakers as per the Dyson strategic purchasing approach (Cost, Quality, Delivery and Responsiveness etc.) to achieve current and future business requirements. The role will be based in Singapore and will be expected to spend time in the Malaysia sister office liaising with the wider procurement team and engineering teams stationed in both offices as well with the supplier base (globally).

  • To coordinate sourcing projects to ensure completion to meet project/business needs.
  • To support the supplier selection & negotiation process, coordinating the relevant cross-functional team and ensuring best value from the supplier-base.
  • To develop and maintain good relationships with Stakeholders within Dyson Singapore and Worldwide and with outside parties to project the good image of Dyson.
  • To follow up contract award, that appropriate supplier relationship and performance management structures and mechanisms are deployed to effectively manage contract adherence & performance. 
  • To manage bid process from concept to supplier selection in line with purchasing process.
  • Maintaining the purchasing database and documentation as predetermined practices.
  • Preparing purchasing statistics and reports as required
  • To support the continuous improvement ethic of the procurement team globally.
  • To assist in strategic procurement activities across multiple categories.

A. Education and Qualification Required

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience procurement and/or minimum 2-3 years in tooling engineering.
  • Preferable at least a basic degree in Business related fields and or any Engineering discipline.
  • Experience and Technical knowledge in Plastics Tooling making and Moulding process
