About the role

The National Beauty Trainer delivers engaging, hands-on education on for Dyson Hair Care technology and styling techniques to build hairstyling capability, build product mastery and advocacy across internal teams and external partners. Training is tailored to the needs of different audiences (e.g., Dyson retail teams, stylists, retail partners and other stakeholders) to elevate customer experience and support commercial performance. 

The role partners closely with Retail, Sales, Marketing, Education and the beauty BU teams to support market priorities, contribute to launches and activations, and provide structured feedback and insights from training and customer interactions. 

Key responsibilities 

  • Deliver training and coaching sessions (in-person and virtual where applicable) on Dyson Hair Care technology, product usage, features and benefits. 
  • Tailor content and facilitation to audience needs (e.g., retail experts, store colleagues, stylists, retail partners) and adapt approach based on capability and learning outcomes. 
  • Plan and execute workshops, events and training roadshows, including logistics, materials and stakeholder communication. 
  • Conduct live product demonstrations and styling sessions, translating technology into clear consumer benefits and consultative selling behaviours. 
  • Support market activations such as product launches, promotional campaigns, PR/beauty events and relevant trade fairs. 
  • Contribute to content creation (e.g., supporting photo shoots, preparing models, demonstrating techniques) in line with brand and safety guidelines. 
  • Develop, localise and continuously improve training materials, tools and sales techniques in line with global standards and market needs. 
  • Capture and report training activity and outcomes; gather feedback from trainees and the market and share insights with relevant teams (e.g., Education, Product, Retail, Marketing). 
  • Work cross-functionally to maintain high standards of brand representation, customer experience and compliance in all training environments. 

About you

  • Proven experience delivering training, education or coaching in a beauty, hairdressing, retail or professional services environment. 
  • Demonstrates excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with confidence in delivering to groups as well as providing one-on-one coaching sessions. 
  • Advanced practical hair styling capability and comfort performing live demonstrations. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and content to different audiences and learning levels. 
  • Organised and self-sufficient: able to plan schedules, manage training logistics and maintain materials to a high standard. 
  • Commercial mindset and customer focus, translating learning into improved consultation behaviours and customer experience. 
  • Digital confidence using common productivity tools and virtual training platforms (market standard). 
  • Collaborative approach, working effectively with cross-functional partners. 
  • Native Dutch proficiency 
  • Willingness to travel within the market; driving licence may be required depending on territory. 

Qualifications 

Qualified hairdresser/hairstylist certification (or equivalent professional qualification) required. 

Additional teaching/training qualification is advantageous (e.g., assessor, coach, educator certification), where applicable. 

Working conditions

 

This role is primarily field based across retail locations and event spaces within the market, with regular travel and occasional evening/weekend work aligned to trading hours, launches and events. Reasonable adjustments will be made to support accessibility and safe working practices.
