About the Role
We’re looking for a Global Spares & Accessories Portfolio Manager to own the performance, availability, and lifecycle of Dyson’s spares portfolio across key clusters, with accessories as a supporting category.
This role is the critical link between global forecasting outputs and in-market execution, ensuring that spare parts-core to aftersales experience—are always available when and where customers need them.
You will translate forecasting insights into clear portfolio actions, actively managing availability, lifecycle, and complexity to deliver best-in-class service outcomes.
Your objectiveis to maximise spares availability, minimise customer downtime, and optimise portfolio efficiency, ensuring a seamless ownership experience for Dyson customers.
Key Responsibilities
Own Key Cluster Spares Portfolio Performance
- Own end-to-end performance of the spares portfolio and accessories across key clusters
- Drive lifecycle management of spares—from introduction to phase-out—aligned with product lifecycle and installed base evolution
- Translate forecasting outputs into clear, actionable spares priorities and decisions
- Lead portfolio optimisation, including rationalisation and prioritisation based on demand criticality
Drive Spares Availability & Service Outcomes
- Own availability and service level performance for spare parts across all channels
- Ensure critical spares are always available to minimise customer downtime and service disruption
- Convert forecast signals into strong availability outcomes, proactively managing supply risks
- Balance service level targets with working capital, obsolescence risk, and operational constraints
Act as the Voice of the Market (Key Clusters)
- Translate cluster-specific demand drivers (fail rates, service trends, installed base behaviour, seasonality) into structured inputs
- Provide real-world validation and challenge to forecasting outputs, ensuring spares demand reflects true usage patterns
- Feed high-quality demand signals into the Forecasting Analytics team
- Ensure global models reflect service reality and customer repair behaviour
Optimise Spares Portfolio Structure
- Simplify and optimise the spares portfolio by reducing duplication and managing substitutions
- Own compatibility, interchangeability, and repair logic across clusters
- Ensure the right balance between range breadth, part criticality, and operational efficiency
- Manage complexity to improve serviceability while maintaining high availability
Ensure Data & Listing Excellence (Spares)
- Own data quality and integrity across all spares listings, including compatibility, attributes, and technical accuracy
- Ensure spares are correctly identified, searchable, and easily selectable by customers and service teams
- Support a seamless repair journey through clear and accurate product information
Cross-functional Leadership
- Partner closely with Forecasting Analytics, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Service teams
- Ensure alignment between forecast outputs, repair demand, and availability execution
- Influence engineering and service decisions that impact part demand and serviceability
- Align cluster execution with global frameworks while reflecting local service realities
About You
- Strong experience in spares, aftersales, service operations, or portfolio/category management
- Deep understanding of spares demand drivers (fail rates, installed base, repair cycles)
- Commercially aware with strong focus on customer service outcomes and availability
- Proven ability to translate data into decisions and execution
- Comfortable operating in complex, fast-moving environments
Mindset & Approach
- Customer-first mindset, with strong focus on minimising downtime and enabling repair
- High ownership of availability and service outcomes
- Structured and analytical, but highly pragmatic and action-oriented
- Comfortable making decisions with imperfect data
- Strong collaborator and influencer across global and cluster teams
