About The Role
We're searching for a Global Spares Forecasting Analytics Manager ready to drive our forecasting evolution to a structured, data-led and insight-driven future.
This role goes beyond traditional demand planning. You will build and own a robust forecasting framework grounded in robust scenario modelling, product lifecycle dynamics, and customer purchase behaviour. You will develop and evolve models that are globally aligned and locally agile - ensuring forecasts are both accurate and commercially meaningful.
This is a high-profile as well as hands-on role for someone who enjoys working deeply with data, building models from principles, and operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The outcome? Customers delighted by finding the right spare, exactly where and when they need it while optimising service levels, contributing to Dyson’s next success.
Key Responsibilities
Own and Optimise Data Models
Build, develop, and continuously refine dynamic forecasting models with ability of pivoting results and indications with varies assumptions
Manipulate, clean, and structure large and complex datasets (sales, service, engineering, installed base) into usable forecasting inputs
Apply statistical methods where appropriate, ensuring models remain explainable and grounded in business logic
Ensure models are scalable, transparent, and adaptable to changing demand patterns
Lead Spares Demand Forecasting
Transition the forecasting function to a robust, data-driven and model-based process
Build and maintain forecasting framework across products, regions, and lifecycle stages
Translate data into insights
Achieve Forecast Accuracy & Insight
Define and track KPIs for forecast accuracy and bias across categories and regions
Diagnose forecast deviations by linking back to underlying drivers
Continuously improve data inputs, assumptions, and model performance
Global Implementation
Standardise and deploy forecasting models and practices across regions
Enable regional teams to incorporate market insights within a governed framework
Balance global consistency with local responsiveness
Cross-functional Collaboration
Engage with IT, supply chain, finance, commercial, engineering, and regional service teams to ensure data availability, model alignment, and process adoption
Integrate key inputs such as product reliability, service trends, and compatibility into forecasting logic
Delight the Customer
Ensure parts are forecasted and positioned so that customers receive the right spare, at the right time, in the right place to reinforce Dyson's Customer Love
Support Business Decisions
Translate forecasts into inventory, service level, and working capital implications
Support scenario planning (e.g. new product launches, supply constraints, pricing changes)
Provide insights to optimise trade-offs
About You
Strong capability to build dynamic and highly automated models
Strong grasp of forecasting and data tools, with hands-on experience in data manipulation and modelling
Comfortable working with complex, ambiguous, and imperfect datasets
Experience managing demand forecasting, planning, or analytics in a global business is a plus
Technical Capability
Advanced Excel skill is a must (modelling, structuring, scenario analysis)
Familiarity with Python, SQL or similar tools (preferred)
Mindset & Approach
Highly driven, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
Curious and intellectually rigorous; challenges assumptions
Strong ownership mindset with a willingness to go deep into detail
Able to translate complex analysis into clear business insights
