About the role

As Lead QA Engineer, you’ll take on a high‑impact role in our in-house manufacturing facility. Acting as the key connector between factories, customers, and material suppliers, you’ll shape how quality is delivered end‑to‑end—from raw materials to finished motors in the field.

You’ll be empowered to champion the voice of the customer, lead complex quality investigations, and drive meaningful, long‑term improvements across the supply chain. This role offers broad exposure to manufacturing, supplier management, and customer engagement, with real ownership over outcomes. As our quality scope continues to expand, you’ll help elevate our standards, strengthen cross‑functional collaboration, and play a visible role in shaping future quality processes—making it an ideal opportunity for someone seeking growth, influence, and hands‑on leadership.

1. Be the Voice of Quality & the Customer

  • Act as the primary quality interface between factories, customers, and suppliers

  • Lead Voice of Customer (VoC) 8D investigations from issue identification to closure

  • Manage RMAs and corrective actions to ensure timely, effective resolution

  • Present customer quality performance and insights to stakeholders

2. Drive Operational and Supplier Excellence

  • Ensure motor specifications and quality standards are consistently achieved

  • Own raw material and supplier‑related quality issues, working directly with suppliers to resolve root causes

  • Conduct on‑site quality verifications at contract manufacturer locations where needed

  • Drive continual improvement initiatives to reduce PPM defect rates

3. Strengthen Systems, Processes & Governance

  • Oversee end‑to‑end RMA workflows with contract manufacturers

  • Maintain accurate QA records, QSI, CoC, and SAP (DDM Motors) data integrity

  • Create, update, and standardize Operating Procedures and Work Instructions

  • Build scalable quality practices that support long‑term growth

About you

This role is designed to groom you within the quality team - offering mentorship, cross‑functional exposure, and increasing scope of responsibility to prepare high performers for career progression within the organisation.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline

  • Solid experience in quality engineering, ideally within motor or electronics manufacturing

  • Proven capability in 8D problem solving, Voice of Customer methodologies, RMA, and CAR processes—demonstrating readiness to lead complex quality issues

  • Hands‑on experience working directly with suppliers to resolve raw material quality concerns and influence improvement at the source

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP QA modules and disciplined document management

  • Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to lead discussions, influence outcomes, and present to senior stakeholders

  • A collaborative mindset and the ambition to build strong relationships across internal teams, customers, contract manufacturers, and suppliers

  • Willingness to travel to supplier and CM sites as part of developing end‑to‑end quality leadership exposure
