About the Role
The Learning System Specialist is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of Cornerstone learning management system (LMS). This is a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the LMS, providing technical expertise, user support, and driving the effective use of the system for training and development initiatives.
The Learning System Specialist collaborates with stakeholders, trainers, and system administrators to optimise the learning experience and maximize the system's capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
LMS Administration
Manage the overall administration and configuration of the learning management System.
Set up user accounts, roles, and permissions.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement system updates and enhancements.
Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to ensure system integration e.g. Workday, security, and data integrity.
User Support and Training
Provide technical support and assistance to LMS users, including learners, trainers, and administrators.
Address user inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance on system functionalities and best practices.
Prepare and run data uploads into Cornerstone using appropriate mass upload templates.
Create user documentation, guides, and FAQs to support self-service and knowledge sharing.
Course and Content Management
Manage course catalogues, including course enrolment and scheduling.
Upload, organize, and maintain training content, including e-learning modules, videos, assessments, and resources.
Ensure content accessibility, quality, and compliance with relevant standards.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and update training materials as needed.
Reporting and Analytics
Generate and analyze reports on learning activities, course completion rates, learner progress, and other relevant metrics.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve learning outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain custom dashboards and reports to meet the needs of different stakeholders.
System Enhancements
Support the delivery of key projects, including LMS module enhancements, integrations with core HR systems, such as Workday, system implementations/changes and customer service delivery improvements
Participate in vendor evaluations, selection processes, and contract negotiations when required.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and leverage new features or tools within the LMS.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, gather user feedback, and implement enhancements to optimize the LMS functionality.
About You
Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science/ Business or other related fields
3-5 years of experience administering and supporting Learning Management Systems, preferably Cornerstone.
Proficient in troubleshooting LMS issues, system configurations, and integrations.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate reports, and provide actionable insights.
Customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering high-quality user support.
Continuous learning mindset, staying updated on LMS trends, technologies, and best practices.
Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
Strong organisation and time management skills with the ability to react quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
A team player with the aptitude to work independently as well as cross-functionally
Demonstrate a proactive approach to delivering excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
