About the role 

This role is a strategic marketing position within a distributor-led market, with a strong focus on developing and executing impactful retail marketing strategies. You will partner closely with local distributors and internal teams across Marketing, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Global Category. The focus is to drive Dyson’s brand objectives and commercial results from a marketing perspective, providing guidance, tools, and direction to maximize website traffic, customer conversion, and brand equity—without owning sales strategy or distributor management.

Key focus: Own and lead the retail marketing strategy. Use sales and market data to inform marketing tactics and drive business growth through distributor-partnered channels and websites. Maintain consistent brand execution across distributor-owned websites in all markets. Demonstrate financial stewardship over marketing budgets and deliver optimal ROI on all marketing investments, including point-of-sale (POS) activity.

Responsibilities

Distributor Partnership & Retail Marketing Leadership

  • Partner with distributor teams to enable and execute Dyson's retail marketing strategy across LATAM.

  • Act as Dyson’s principal marketing advisor, ensuring the distributor’s marketing activities align with Dyson’s brand and commercial goals.

  • Support distributors by executing global marketing programs, sharing assets, and acting as a marketing subject-matter expert.

  • Resolve escalated marketing challenges, demonstrating swift decision-making based on data and brand priorities.

Strategic Marketing

  • Architect and execute holistic marketing strategies surrounding retail activity.

  • Use sales and market data to identify opportunities, inform marketing tactics, and respond to commercial shifts, always from a marketing viewpoint.

  • Drive alignment between local, regional, and global marketing teams for consistency and impact.

  • Make timely, high-impact decisions on brand positioning, consumer targeting, messaging, and campaign prioritization.

Brand Communications & Campaign Management

  • Own large-scale, integrated campaign strategy with responsibility for creative development, media investment, and execution.

  • Build and nurture relationships with agencies, media, and influential partners—always with marketing outcomes in mind.

  • Set and track KPIs for campaign success; deliver regular performance reviews and optimization plans.

  • Approve and refine creative assets to ensure strong brand alignment and local relevancy.

Retail Marketing & Digital Conversion

  • Develop annual retail marketing plans focused on driving traffic and conversion on distributor-owned websites.

  • Ensure consistency of the Dyson brand experience across distributor sites in all countries.

  • Analyze website sales and consumer analytics to iterate and optimize online marketing campaigns.

  • Determine, measure, and report ROI for POS and other retail marketing investments.

Financial Stewardship

  • Own the marketing P&L, planning and controlling budgets for all marketing activity.

  • Lead annual and quarterly marketing planning cycles, ensuring spend drives measurable business impact.

  • Analyze financial and marketing data to inform investment decisions and maximize marketing ROI.

  • Report on marketing performance to senior leadership—including recommendations and forecasts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Represent LATAM marketing priorities between headquarters, global teams, and distributor partners.

  • Champion and lead projects focused on marketing operational excellence and process improvement.

  • Mentor and coach marketing talent within the region, raising performance standards and cultivating future leaders.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Set the agenda for marketing analytics, defining measures of success for all initiatives.

  • Conduct post-mortem reviews and drive actionable improvements based on data insights.

  • Mandate data-driven marketing decisions to maximize ROI and business competitiveness.

About you

  • 5 years in senior marketing, commercial, or category management—owning high-value projects, teams, and budgets in consumer products, technology, beauty, luxury, or premium lifestyle brands.

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field

  • Strategic leadership, proven track record directing integrated campaigns and distributor GTM launches.

  • Commercial acumen, experience controlling significant P&L, budgeting, and resource allocation.

  • Executive presence, skilled influencer and communicator at C-suite and partner level.

  • Analytical rigor, advanced ability to interpret complex data and translate into strategic decisions.

  • Agility and innovation, proactive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments; known for driving breakthrough ideas.

  • Multicultural leadership, demonstrated success leading teams and partners across multiple markets and time zones.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish

  • Must be able to adhere to a 5-day office attendance schedule
