Job Summary:

The Product Experience team sits within New Product Innovation at Dyson and works closely with Global Design teams across the UK, Singapore, and China. Together, we create cohesive, meaningful interactions between Dyson technologies and users worldwide.

Our role in China is to translate Dyson’s design intent through the development process, working closely with both internal engineering teams and external development partners to ensure that we accurately deliver all functional and non‑functional graphics on our latest machines. You will lead work from initial briefs through to final implementation and production. You will play a key role in clearly communicating graphical intent to our suppliers, sharing project updates with the wider design teams, and ensuring any changes, adaptations, and edits are delivered on time throughout the Dyson development process. These graphics will follow our graphical and illustrative design systems across the Dyson product portfolio.

This role is ideal for a designer who excels in hands‑on execution, enjoys close collaboration with engineering, and can confidently represent design intent during development with external suppliers. This is a full‑time position reporting to the Lead On‑Product Graphic Designer, located in Singapore.

What we look for in you:

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with both internal and external development partners throughout the development process and into production.

  • Review samples and prototype rigs to assess the accuracy of graphical application, colour, and overall adherence to the design intent.

  • Report key project milestones and developments to the Lead Designer and Head of Department on a weekly basis.

  • Collaborate with CMF, Industrial Design, Commercial Branding teams in the UK, and Product Experience designers to seamlessly integrate graphics into the overall product design strategy.

  • Conceptualise and create iconography and visual mock‑ups adhering to Dyson’s brand guidelines and on‑product print processes.

  • Utilise Adobe Creative Suite and CAD software to execute design concepts and produce high‑quality visuals throughout the product development process.

  • Conduct research and gather feedback from end users through early concept testing and post‑launch data analysis to continually improve graphics.

  • Confidently present ideas and concepts to senior stakeholders in both Singapore and the UK.

  • Push the boundaries of on‑product graphics for future Dyson products, considering machine operation and seeking feedback to enhance the overall product experience.

Experiences and skills:

  • Background in graphics, illustration, branding, and possibly packaging.

  • Experience creating mock‑ups of brand marks applied to product visuals.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

  • CAD skills.

  • Demonstrated expertise in branding, logo design, iconography, and visual mock‑ups.

  • Previous experience working in a demanding environment and collaborating with senior stakeholders.

  • Experience contributing to physical products and their development process, working closely with engineering teams, industrial designers, and print teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas confidently.

  • Highly creative thinker; proactive, positive, and forward‑thinking.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Self‑motivated, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

  • Ability to generate ideas within tight deadlines and respond effectively to briefs.
