About the role

Procurement Excellence provides leadership, insight, and support to the global procurement function to drive the implementation of next-generation procurement and deliver the company and procurement vision. Our ambition is to build best-in-class, harmonized and flawless practices, tools, and processes to support the Procurement Transformation program and contribute to the top line and bottom line of Dyson. As a Senior Negotiation Excellence Manager, you will strengthen Dyson’s commercial muscle by designing, embedding, and upskilling negotiation strategy and execution across functions. You will unlock value, mitigate risks, and inspire a culture of commercial excellence, always with the end goal of delivering better technology and experiences for our product owners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Negotiation Strategy: Develop, implement, and continuously refine negotiation frameworks, playbooks, and tools for global use.

  • Capability Building: Design and deliver training, mentoring, and coaching for teams and leaders on negotiation best practices, including real-world deal support.

  • Complex Deal Support: Advise and actively participate in high-value or sensitive negotiations (e.g., procurement, partnerships, licensing, or supply chain).

  • Value Creation: Identify sources of value and risk in major deals; challenge conventional thinking to unlock new commercial opportunities.

  • Performance Measurement: Define and track negotiation KPIs, using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.

  • Advocate Best Practice: Build a negotiation community across Dyson, encouraging sharing of lessons learned and innovative thinking.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Influence and partner with senior leaders globally, ensuring alignment and support for negotiation excellence.

  • Processes & Systems: Continuously evaluate and improve processes and systems used for negotiation and strategies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

About You

  • Proven track record in leading complex, high-stakes commercial negotiations (procurement, licensing, partnerships, technology).

  • Experience designing and delivering negotiation capability programmes at scale.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills—able to bring others on the journey.

  • Passion for finding creative solutions and continuously raising the bar.

  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.

  • Willingness to transform, challenge the status quo.

  • Excellent project management from strategic thinking to operational execution.

  • Strong reasoning/analytical ability leading to sound decision-making and judgment.

  • International experience and multicultural sensitivity a plus.

  • Master degree in Procurement or equivalent experience in business, law, engineering, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, Harvard PON) are a bonus.

  • Fluent oral and written English.
