Germany was one of Dyson’s first export countries. In a crowded market with aggressive local competition, the team has had to be as tenacious as they are resourceful. Today, as the regional market hub for D–A–CH (Deutschland – Österreich – Schweiz), over 130 Dyson people oversee everything from marketing to customer care for our Northern European region.
Based in the bustling international district of Cologne – a city with a long engineering heritage – Dyson Germany’s striking red volcanic rock building is a fitting setting for its vibrant team.
It’s close to music, cosmopolitan cuisine and quirky, independent businesses. And the office is easily reached both by car (with a large car park alongside) or by public transport (five minutes’ walk to the train station).
Cologne’s distinctive flavour is often linked to the city’s locals – “Kölsche” – who take enormous pride in their city. They are known to be warm and jovial, welcoming people from all over the world.
Of course the same goes for Dyson’s German contingent, who are all hard–working, ruthlessly efficient and always punctual. Just joking. This is a friendly, close–knit team that enjoys success and celebrations. Especially at the company–wide Christmas and summer parties.
Good to know:
One of Cologne’s most popular locations for music lovers – Live Music Hall – is just over the road. It’s a favourite for winding down after work.
