After many years as part of the Dyson GB&I&N team in Malmesbury, Dyson Ireland opened in 2005. Recent growth has been rapid. In 2015, harnessing the launch of exciting new technologies, the team and its business doubled in size. Now 35 people strong, ambitious plans are in place to build on future technologies and lead markets across multiple categories. The upcoming move to a new space in central Dublin will add extra momentum – putting Dyson at the heart of the capital and offering yet more opportunities to spread the Dyson story.
Dublin is situated on the east coast of Ireland, on the banks of the River Liffey. The Dyson Ireland office is currently based in Greenogue Business Park, about 20 kilometres from the city centre, near the villages of Rathcoole and Newcastle. It’s five minutes from Citywest Business Park and LUAS (Dublin light rail) station – so it’s a pleasant 30 minute commute from Dublin city centre. The M50 motorway is also close by connecting to the rest of the country.
The office itself is split over two floors, with open space, light meeting rooms and a good canteen. Located close to the Avoca café, the team often meets there for a sociable lunch. With new Dyson people starting all the time, there’s a nice blend of old and new faces – creating a great buzz and an infectious, can–do attitude.
It’s no surprise that Dyson Ireland people frequently meet up outside of work. There’s also a monthly office night out – perhaps to the Laughter Lounge Comedy Club, or for drinks in Dublin’s legendary Temple Bar area. There’s no shortage of good places and good fun.
