Zurich

Dyson Switzerland opened in 1998 at the Rue du Rhône in Geneva 14. It was a small sales team of three people, with big ambitions to conquer the Swiss vacuum cleaner market. The big success came in 2004 with the first TV advertising. And since 2005, Dyson Switzerland has been the clear market leader in vacuum cleaners. Today, competing across multiple categories, Dyson Switzerland has around 40 employees and has now relocated to the capital, Zurich.

Zurich

With around 400,000 inhabitants, Zurich is probably the world’s smallest ’global financial capital’ with its wealth of finance and insurance institutions. It’s also a lovely scenic city with its Medieval Old Town, endless clock towers and river Limmat flowing into Lake Zurich.

The Dyson office is in a building known as Westcube, located in District 5, a former industrial district in the contemporary Zurich West. Not far from the famous Puls 5 multi–use complex, it’s only 10 minutes by tram from Central Station, one minute from the river and 15 minutes from Lake Zurich.

This area is now the heart of the urban lifestyle that makes Zurich such an exciting cosmopolitan city, including the best restaurants and bars. It’s also very close to the ’culture mile’ with its outstanding museums, galleries and theatres.

Dyson people take advantage of their location, enjoying life to the full. Whether it’s having a drink or a game of tennis after work, or letting hair down at the biannual Dyson corporate events, they are an inseparable team. Indeed the spirit mirrors Switzerland itself – a small place where everyone cooperates to punch well above its weight.
