Within this function, the Global Experience Studio has the unique mission to bring Dyson technology to life, to provide the imagery, films, content, experiences and service that explain our machines, their benefits and the problems they solve for our customers. We create assets and multi-channel journeys that help our customers discover, choose, purchase, learn about and solve issues they may have with our machines.
About the programme
Dyson has embarked on a transformation journey that will deliver a new operating model, processes and technology and enable us to meet the challenges created by our growth ambitions, changing market landscape and fierce competition. Specifically, the Future of Direct & Experience – Data & Content programme will deliver new Marketing Technology systems and transform our Commercial Operations by:
  • Consolidating our global content storage into a new, state-of-the-art digital asset management platform (DAM) including digital rights management (DRM)
  • Delivering a marketing resource management solution that will support optimised content production and delivery processes (MRM)
  • Integrating this content hub with the various content delivery systems to enable a consistent experience across channels
  • Integrating our owner data into one location to enable efficient personalized content and journeys to be delivered (Marketing Cloud)

About the role

This role is based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire.  12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
Reporting to the Head of Transformation Programmes (Commercial), the Business Programme Manager will lead all business activities as part of the Future of Direct & Experience – Data & Content programme.
Key accountabilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end life-cycle of change, focusing on the delivery of the business outcomes defined in the programme’s business case
  • Work in partnership with the IT Programme Manager to ensure the scope of the programme is delivered in time, within budget and to quality
  • Build a strong multi-disciplinary business programme team comprising Business Data, Business Change, Product Owners and SMEs
  • Ensure effective day-to-day management of the business programme team
  • Define the appropriate delivery method for the team to ensure efficiency and to enable the best possible collaboration with the IT and third-party vendor teams
  • Maintain active engagement and collaboration with programme sponsor and stakeholders
  • Ensure effective and timely communication and reporting to programme governance authorities and stakeholders  
  • Complete programme planning activities involving the business team and ensure the programme plan is created 
  • Track progress against the baselined programme plan
  • Create documentation of exceptional quality, including setup documents (scope, assumptions, success criteria, risks, governance structure, etc.) and programme management deliverables (status, RAID, etc.)
  • Ensure programme deliverables meet quality expectations and acceptance criteria and are signed off within the required timescales
  • Enable clear communication of project goals, requirements and outcomes to key stakeholders, and actively seek alignment
  • Where required, manage the engagement of third-party and/or outsourced vendors to deliver any aspects of the programme scope
  • Proactively and diligently identify and manage risks and issues, aggressively working to mitigate and resolve those, and escalating through the appropriate channels where necessary
  • Set up and attend key governance forums, including steering committee, working group and stand-up meetings, as appropriate
  • Ensure the required resources are requested and assigned to complete programme activities

About you

  • At least 8 years’ experience of project and programme management, ideally gained in complex strategic projects for large organisations
  • A track record in large scale, transformational delivery
  • Excellent knowledge of several project and programme management methods (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, Six Sigma) and agile delivery methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, DSDM)
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of all stages of the project and programme lifecycle, from business case development, scoping and mobilisation to design, implementation and deployment of capabilities and benefits realisation
  • Experience of managing a significant, internationally distributed business change workstream
  • Advanced risk management experience
  • Experience of setting up and using project management tools such as MS Project, Planview, Jira or Monday
  • Ability to develop and successfully lead a strong multi-disciplinary programme team, potentially across multiple organisations and locations (on site, remote, offshore)
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to understand the programme’s goals and business case and become a strong agent of change
  • Confident communicator able to develop, tailor and deliver the right messages about the programme to the right stakeholders at the right time
  • Strong budget management and financial reporting skills
