The Business Unit Director is key leadership role within the Dyson Professional business (B2B), with full P&L responsibility you will oversee a circa 25-strong cross-functional team which includes sales, marketing, finance and operations.


  • As the Business Unit Director for GB&I Professional (B2B), you will lead the full P&L for the division, driving profitability, volume growth and market share, as well as best in class execution of our technology
  • You will be responsible for the development, communication and implementation of the GB&I strategy, delivering this through your cross-functional teams
  • Your strategic outlook will allow you to create an effective strategy covering key channels to unlock and maximise profitable sales opportunities
  • With your strong leadership, you will inspire and motivate your cross functional teams through regular feedback, and encouraging a test and learn mentality
  • You will lead the trading terms and pricing strategy to effectively engage and drive results through both distribution partners and direct end user customers. You  will also lead key account activities supporting key visits to local and national partners
  • With a focus on customer care, you will support both the development of the after-sales and service strategy, to ensure customers are looked after pre and post–sale
  • Putting a focus on people, you will work in partnership with HR to create and implement a clearly defined people agenda, setting targets and reward mechanisms to drive results. You will also work to develop and grow the talent within your team


  • You will be a proven senior manager coming from a product sales and marketing background, and you’ll be working for a market leading and innovation focused business
  • As a leader, you will have experience leading cross-functional business units and external sales teams
  • You will also have a proven record of delivering and progressing high performers within your team, and you will have the ability to engage your direct and indirect reports to deliver your strategy
  • You’ll have a good understanding of a variety of routes to market, from ecommerce, to distribution, to direct to customer, and understand how to excel in a commercial environment
  • You will also have extensive experience holding high level commercial negotiations with customers
  • With a proven track record of building successful and sustainable relationships, you will be able to operate effectively in a cross-functional matrix structure
