Commercial Policy Manager

In this exciting international role you have the opportunity to drive our European commercial policy, which encompasses two main pillars: selective distribution (SD) and retail terms management.
You will act as a representative and custodian of the function for multiple markets (“market cluster”) in close cooperation with group functions. The role will challenge you to use both your analytical and abstract thinking skills as well as convincing communication skills to get a diverse group of stakeholders on board and into the set direction.
This newly created role will report into the Head of Commercial Police Europe and is part of Dyson’s European markets organisation.


  • Take ownership of consistent execution of Dyson’s requirements for its authorised distribution network in your market cluster and thereby, facilitate a best in class customer experience
  • Implement monitoring and enforcement system in your market cluster for positioning Dyson as a premium brand
  • Implement Dyson’s guidelines how to run its selective distribution network on a day to day basis
  • Be a trusted business partner in your market cluster and safeguard Dyson’s consistent application of its European terms framework
  • Constructively challenge retail agreements and trade investment plans to ensure terms in your market cluster are negotiated within commercial guidance
  • Provide trainings on selective distribution and terms guidelines in your market cluster for key stakeholders
  • Be the key point of contact in your market cluster for all topics regarding selective distribution and European terms framework
  • Act as role models for compliance and Dyson behaviours


  • Master degree, ideally in business administration, finance or law
  • Relevant business experience in distribution management, pricing, commercial and/or finance role preferably in consumer goods industry
  • Able to operate in dynamic environment with high interaction levels and wide array of stakeholders (cross-functional, cross-layer)
  • Strong communication skills in international matrix setting, fluent in English, local language skills would be a plus
  • Decisive and excellent influencer
  • Persuasive, analytical, hands on mentality
  • Skills to engage with different levels of audiences
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Willingness to travel in your market cluster and from time to time in other European markets
