Description

As Compliance and Approvals Manager you will manage a team of regulatory specialists to support early stage project Compliance and Approvals (C&A) and research activities

 

You'll provide regulatory intelligence capability and manage key data for the global C&A team and the wider business

 

Provide leadership and direction on key global C&A requirements and risks at an early stage of project to determine and lead the future global C&A Regulatory Intelligence strategy

 

Grow and develop the Regulatory Intelligence Team to meet future needs of the business and people development

Accountabilities

  • You'll be responsible for the management of the Regulatory Intelligence group within the C&A team (currently 5 people) to deliver comprehensive data management and regulatory guidance to C&A and the wider business 
  • You'll need to ensure that global legal requirements applicable to Dyson products are well researched, information is maintained, organized and communicated to the RDD teams and wider business as needed
  • Our intention is to provide early stage risk assessment to projects and research teams on any potential compliance issues whilst ensuring that all materials and components used in Dyson products meet banned & Restricted substance legislation in addition to Dyson internal requirements
  • Ensure smooth transition of data and key risks to the NPD (New Product Development) team and wider C&A team to ensure robust handover of early stage C&A project data

Skills

  • Degree in Chemistry / Engineering or similar or equivalent
  • Understanding of the Global compliance landscape,  ideally with respect to products similar to the Dyson range
  • Attention to detail, aptitude for research into standards, regulations and technical information
  • Good communication skills both oral and written to all levels of the business. Able to present complex subjects simply and clearly to the target audience.
  • Able to work within a team and produce accurate and complete information to tight timescales
  • Experience of managing people and desire to further develop management skills
