Data Analyst

The Data Analyst is a key position supporting the Analytics and Insight team within Group Finance as we continue to produce insightful visualisations and analytics to the wider business.
You will be taking data from different sources and manipulating it to deliver insight. We have a diverse and growing range of data sources, some structured, and some needing more work to transform and load them so they can be used to enrich existing data. 
You will ensure smooth running of our data load processes, including managing access and security across our portfolio of reporting platforms and data warehouses.
We continue to embrace our cloud data platform (GCP) and you will be an important advocate for promoting and exploring the use of the tools on this platform.


  • Collect, prepare and load data ready for reporting and presentation
  • Source new data feeds and fix issues with existing ones
  • Provide support to ensure monthly reporting cycles run smoothly
  • Actively monitor performance of our data feeds and reporting platforms
  • Manage access to data models and reporting platforms
  • Support Group Finance with ad-hoc data analysis and insight using tools like Tableau
  • Look for opportunities for improvement by using our cloud platform (GCP) for storage, prep and modelling of data
  • Work with Data Services to turn tactical data solutions into production data products
  • Use tools like Tableau to present insight and reporting
  • Support the wider business to leverage our data for self-serve analytics


  • Querying and working with data on a range of platforms including SQL Server, Google BigQuery, SAP BW, SAP HANA.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Data prep using tools like Tableau prep, Alteryx or Cloud Dataprep.
  • Manipulating data in excel.
  • Problem solver and ability to spot areas for improvement.
  • Organised, delivery focussed and comfortable working on own initiative.
  • Any experience of python and working with APIs would be a bonus.
  • Any experience of BI tools like Tableau would be a bonus.
