Description

Are you a Data all-rounder with skills in database design, development and analysis? Do you have experience of working with CRM data? Are you looking for a challenging role within one of the UK’s most interesting and exciting companies? You can become a key member of the data team embedded within Dyson’s ‘Global Quality’ function, part of our world-class RDD facility. You will be instrumental in deliver exciting and impactful new analysis to our markets and product categories within the global business and be a key player in helping to shape our new data-driven strategy for Dyson teams.

Accountabilities

As a Data Developer your mission will be to help to grow the Data Landscape; driving increased value from existing sources and exploring opportunities to bring new ones into scope. From CRM, Web Analytics, Chat and Social Media, to Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability, Logistics and Sales. Working in collaboration with Visualization experts and Data Scientists, you will make it your business to drive improvements in our analytical offering; putting in the hands of our internal customers advanced visualizations and actionable insights that allow us to understand better our products and customers.

Skills

• Excellent SQL for both data manipulation and querying is a ‘must have’ • Familiarity with Dimensional Modelling • Experience of the full lifecycle of Data Warehouse projects • Data Quality investigation and enhancement • Ability to manage multiple projects at any one time, and deliver results to deadlines • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, happy working at all levels of the organisation Highly desirable • ‘Full stack’ experience of Microsoft SQL Server BI tools • Experience of dealing with CRM data sources • Exposure to Cloud database platforms such as Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift or Snowflake • Experience with data integration tools such as SSIS, Talend, Informatica etc. • Experience in statistical and forecasting techniques. • Programing skills in Python, Java or C# • Familiarity with Data Visualization such as Tableau, Looker or Qlik
