Dyson is looking for passionate software/infrastructure engineers with a DevOps mindset who are enthused about writing infrastructure as code, working in an agile delivery environment and pipelining delivery through multiple environments into production with fast feedback in mind.

Working in agile delivery squads you will be helping deliver robust web experiences and backend services to Dyson customers around the world. Additionally, you will be instrumental in helping move Dyson’s on-premise IT services into modern Cloud based platforms using modern cloud services and component patterns such as containerisation, auto scaling, RDS, serverless, etc.


  • Dyson web solutions are built using modern technologies in the cloud and are truly gobal using Akamai’s CDN to improve application performance and security.
  • Our core technical stack consists of but is not limited to:
  • Akamai , Ansible & Terraform, Docker, CloudFormation, Powershell, Python, Bash, Windows & Ubuntu, AWS, Jenkins/Bamboo/Octopus, GIT/Bitbucket/Team City

  • You will work within an agile delivery squad to build infrastructure as code for AWS and other cloud platforms.
  • Assisting in build continuous delivery pipelines using modern orchestration tooling.
  • Assist with architectural decisions around selection of the best cloud components to utilise for new or evolving services.
  • Assist in building end to end solutions and support them through life using modern monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Ensure that systems are secure and patched using automated tools and procedures built in as part of the component delivery
  • Assist in evolving Dyson platforms to use managed services and serverless technology over dedicated instances (for example: containerisation, lambda/serverless, RDS, Auto Scaling Groups, etc)


  • Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its various components
  • Infrastructure as code
  • Windows and/or Linux systems administration and scripting
  • Networking knowledge around load balancers, DNS, VPN, VPC, routing, etc
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD techniques and pipelining using orchestration tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo
  • Experience in maintaining, monitoring, and scaling web based platforms
  • Working knowledge of CDNs such as Akamai is desirable
