Description

The Dyson Institute is working to become the best engineering university in the world, which develops the engineering leaders of the future. In order to realise this ambition, we need to appoint a Development Coach to stretch each Undergraduate across the four year programme and support them in their Individual Development Plans 

Accountabilities

  • As our Development Coach your role will be to work with each Undergraduate to devise an Individual Development Plan to support and accelerate their growth
  • Keeping the Undergraduates at the forefront of your role, you will conduct regular 1:1 coaching sessions with each Undergraduate
  • Alongside this, you will work with the Student Support Advisor to secure Undergraduate welfare and make sure the undergraduates are getting the support they need to succeed
  • You will support the  continuous professional development of Undergraduate Line Managers at The Dyson Institute, and the core Dyson Institute team

Skills

  • As our Development Coach you will come with significant coaching and development experience in both business and educational environments
  • You will have extensive experience working with those in higher education or as part of a youth organisation, and understand how best to communicate and engage with undergraduates
  • You will also have a progressive leadership philosophy, as well as a certified coaching qualification
  • As a strong networker, you will demonstrate the ability to collaborate and build relationships outside of the Dyson Institute and within the wider Dyson business
  • You’ll be educated to degree level or equivalent
