Description

As Direct Retail Manager you are responsible to develop and grow the direct retail business of Dyson Germany, find AAA+ locations according to the business strategy and to implement the store openings and team development. Moreover, you are responsible of the delivery of the consumer experience excellence in the direct business of the Dyson portfolio at front line level in Germany in order to generate the relevant sell out achievement.

Accountabilities

  • Sell through based planning mindset: sellout planning and achievement being #1 step!
  • Responsible for project management and new product development rollouts from customer requirement to finished execution, ensure quality of deliverables, within time and cost
  • Plan, develop and implement innovative marketing activities to enable targeted sell out figures and drive traffic
  • Market and competition analysis and establish and conclude on the basis of company objectives and creating of joint business plans
  • Good knowledge about German cities & visit stores to ensure best practice and monitor competitors in
  • store activities
  • Communication and control of the direct retail business and ensure premium and brand compliant presentation
  • Create synergy with extended team members, dotted line reports as well as gather resources from other departments (Marketing, Operations, PR, …) to deliver on goals
  • Build close relationships with the direct team, including store staff members to improve processes, efficiency and quality of output
  • Management and control of external agencies resources 
  • Develop activation methods: how to engage best with consumers, what works at events and in store for consumers to experience and understand our products
  • Plan, execute and measure the results, calculate the ROI and share reports / learnings / best practices worldwide 
  • Be expert in POS & activation processes: be a source of information, inspiration and point of reference for team when evaluating opportunities, ideas and plans of action

Skills

  • Marketing or general business degree
  • Strong affinity to technology & beauty or high end fashion industry
  • Minimum 2 years of experience and proven record in a similar marketing position (retail & events)
  • Working knowledge of 2 languages: German and English 
  • An organised, engaged, creative, quick thinking and alert person with the potential to generate and stimulate ideas and opportunities
  • Strong project management and planning skills 
  • Exceptional team player with credibility and integrity to earn peer, senior management and cross-functional team confidence quickly, who is flexible and willing to go beyond job description
  • A great passion for brand building and retail go to market planning
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Proven ability to juggle a large workload, set appropriate priorities and someone who is focused on delivering to plan
  • Customer & consumer focus
  • Understands to manage changes in requirements with flexibility whilst relentlessly pushing for brand targets. Excels in crisis
  • High travel-readiness 
  • Manage budgets, timeline and costs within agreed projects
  • Practical experience in planning, implementation and tracking of sell out generation activities, enabling fast reaction when deviating from plan
