About us

The Accounts and Systems team is at the heart of Dyson’s Finance Community, requiring the team to have good working relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including the trading markets, RDD, Operations and the wider Group Finance team. We deliver the infrastructure on which all of Dyson’s global reporting depends, and inevitably that involves us in anything and everything happening around the Group. The business is incredibly dynamic with both new products and regions consistently being added to the operating model, having a large impact on our accounting and reporting to which we must rapidly respond. 
As Dyson continues to evolve, the Accounts and Systems team play a critical role in ensuring consistency and governance is applied to the global financial reporting and processes.

About the role

As Group Reporting Analyst within our Accounts and Systems team you will support the delivery of the Group’s management results every month end.  As the business evolves, expands into new markets, develops new products and establishes new sales channels, Accounts and Systems will need to adapt to ensure that all Group reports have absolute integrity and support executive decision making. The Group Accountant role is an integral part of ensuring that Accounts and Systems meets these requirements.
  • Perform accurate and timely monthly management accounting processes
  • Approver of finance data requests (creation/change of cost centres, internal orders and general ledger codes) through SAP MDG, ensuring compliance to group accounting policies
  • Develop and maintain documentation of finance data processes
  • Collaborate with markets and regions to ensure consistency and first-time accuracy of financial reporting
  • Contribute to projects to drive efficiency of processes surrounding the management consolidation and finance data objects
  • Support wider group accounting team on an ad hoc basis

About you

  • Ideally part qualified accountant
  • Experience of using SAP and / or consolidation tool (e.g. OneStream or Hyperion)
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Flexible in approach with good organisational and prioritisation skills
  • High levels of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Logical mind-set and a strong problem solver
  • Ability to quickly understand and put into practice complex ideas and processes
  • An aptitude for and strong appetite to develop systems and processes in order to drive efficiencies that benefit the business
