HR Administration Team Lead

HR Operations within Dyson is transforming with a new People system due towards the end of 2019. You will be leading the HR Operations team in Singapore, supporting the delivery of the HR processes for Dyson employees in Singapore and the region.


  • Providing first line management for the team of Administrators in Singapore.
  • Manage workloads and identify priorities and peaks of activity such as payroll and annual project activity
  • Manage escalations and support the team with complex queries
  • Identify route cause of issues that arise and seek solutions and preventative measures
  • Work closely and collaborate with the wider HR teams, such as Recruitment, Talent Development and Reward, and build networks with client groups in the business and other stakeholders as required
  • Responsible for supporting HR Operations Lead in monthly payroll processing and monthly reconciliation
  • Responsible for training and development for team of Administrators

In addition you will be required to administer end to end HR processes throughout the employment lifecycle, to include, but not limited to:

  • New starter processing; creation of employee records & saving new starter documentation to employee records
  • Maintaining employee information and records on the HRIS
  • Production of changes to terms and conditions letters including amendment to the employee records for payroll submission
  • Point of contact for policy, process and contractual queries from the business
  • Processing leavers including letters, holiday calculations, notification to payroll
  • Co-ordinate and provide reference requests for current and ex-employees
  • Coordination of probation process
  • Coordination of Immigration process. Example: Work pass, S-Pass, Employment Pass
  • Support managers & HR with HRIS training and system report production where necessary
  • Other duties such as responding to subject access requests, purchase orders and general HR Administration duties including ad hoc projects
  • Coordinate and involve in any SEA HR audit- external/internal



  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Administration coordination and General HR, including experience managing a team
  • Degree in Human Resources or other related admin field
  • Experience in managing, co-ordinating and improving HR policies and processes
  • Experience in the Shared Service environment will be an added advantage
  • Working knowledge of HR Systems, and strong IT skills to include MS Word and Excel (intermediate/ Advanced level)
  • Very well-versed in local regulations such as Employment Act

  • Excellent attention to detail- able to execute duties following detailed instructions.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time to complete individual tasks and coordinate work with others
  • Able to make sound decisions utilising information and knowledge of HR systems and processes
  • Strong team player but with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and provide a high level of customer service
  • Advance knowledge in negotiation skills, problem solving techniques and decision making techniques
  • Ability to meet fluctuating deadlines at short notice and willing to be flexible to reach deadlines
  • Displays drive, enthusiasm, self-motivation and teamwork skills
  • Displays high level of initiative and pro-activity to resolve difficulties and problems.
