Description

We are looking to hire a HR Advisor who will be part of Global Engineering & Operations People BP team, based out of Malaysia who will be working closely with HRBP, Operations and Centre of Excellence teams to deliver key people priorities as well as business performance and objectives

Accountabilities

  • Coach people managers in developing leadership and managerial capability to scale high performance culture within team
  • Measure Dyson's culture and deliver engagement initiatives with local management team (Glint Survey, Forward Dyson, GM Comms Sessions, Kopi sessions, Diversity & Inclusion – eg. Women in Engineering, Cultural celebrations, etc)
  • Actively participate in the talent agenda, by working in partnership with the business and people specialist teams – Talent Acquisitions and Talent Development teams
  • Work with Talent Acquisition team on recruitment matters including hiring status, ATR request and approval, offer proposal and transfer within business units – intervene when complexities arise
  • Maintain good knowledge of and stay abreast of local employment legislation. Assess impact of changes to business and take necessary action with Operations team to ensure legal compliance
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues - Investigation, counselling, PIP, grievances & disciplinary matters
  • Initiate and follow through data for key employee metrics, identifying and investigating possible implications of issues and trends
  • Assist in preparation of monthly HR data and presentation for Ops meeting with the site management team
  • Participate and drive end-to-end organisational change and people program roll-out with wider People team to ensure delivery of People priorities
  • Participate in people core processes - performance management, talent review and development and annual compensation review exercise
  • Active involvement in working committee group include but not limited to areas of business continuity management (BCM), Safety and IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001& 45001) and CSR Audits
  • Facilitate or conduct presentations / briefings in support of HR initiatives to large audience group occasionally
  • Undertakes and delivers various HR projects in local, regional and/or global levels as and when required

Skills

  • 1-3 years’ working experience as HR generalist or in similar capacity
  • Knowledge of HR Information System and Employment Act
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business, building relationships
  • Conflict management, stakeholder alignments and problem solving skills
  • Strong listening skills
  • Business acumen
