Description

This is a standalone role, providing HR leadership and operational execution on all people matters for the SEA Sales & Markets business. The purpose of the role is to provide pro-active HR expertise to the General Manager of SEA Sales & Markets Division, as well as the teams in terms of people management, organisation design, talent acquisition and development, as well as implementing best practice policy, process and HR administration.
The incumbent should demonstrate HR expertise, people management guidance, strategic thinking as well as operational delivery and have a voice on all matters that relate to people and organisation.

Accountabilities

HR Expertise & People Management
  • Build solid relationships with key managers, stakeholders and contacts across the business
  • Work with line managers on people management matters providing advice and guidance that aligns with local legislation, best practice and Dyson culture
  • Implement company processes and new ways of working to support excellent performance management
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to HR, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Establish and run employee engagement activities
    Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Partner with the management to plan and manage the business growth in terms of organisation design, recruitment management and onboarding new talent – across multiple markets.
  • Develop the recruitment process to ensure we provide a fabulous candidate experience
  • Manage the new starter process ensuring each new colleague has a welcoming induction, thorough onboarding plan and regular reviews with feedback to ensure they are set up for success
Global Mobility
  • Manage all International Assignment cases ‘in’ and ‘out’ of the markets in conjunction with the Global Mobility team
  • Maintain contact with International Assignees to ensure they are supported through the assignment process through offer, work permits, relocation, shipping, settling with family, repatriation
  • Establish good working relationships with mobility partners and in-house legal for housing contracts
HR Administration & Payroll
  • Responsible for all aspects of HR administration for the employee population
  • Responsible for HRIS; manage our HR data using our People system and develop manager and employee self-service
  • Manage the HR part of the payroll process working closely with Finance and our internal or outsourced payroll provider
  • Manage the company insurance and benefits schemes including registration, updates and reviews
  • Implement a robust e-filing system for employee files in SEA
  • Document management including filing, e-storage, archiving and confidential waste
  • Responsible for ensuring employment contracts and offer letters are accurate and prepared on time
  • Co-ordinate with external tax consultants, government departments, and auditors, as required
Policy & Processes
  • Implement policies and processes that enable the business and align with the Dyson culture
  • Create policies and guidelines, adapted from Group, to meet the needs of the business
Adhoc HR Projects (may include)
  • Review benefits in place across the region and produce a summary of recommendations and costs
  • Implement our new People system and guide managers on how to use it to enable their people management
  • Implement our Recruitment system (Avature) and guide managers to use the system for their recruitment needs
  • Translate the results of our People Survey into themes and action plans to bring about improvements to the areas that matter most to our people

Skills

Experience:
  • Degree qualification in Human Resources or related field.
  • Knowledge of HR best practice, employment legislation, systems, policy and procedures, and managing employment relations cases
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Multi-lingual (ideally) with excellent English and local language capability
  • Stand-alone HR role or working in a small team
  • Working in a fast-paced team environment with high volume activities and changing priorities
  • Familiar with a matrix-style management structure, with key stakeholders overseas, and a UK (or international) head-office
  • Fast-paced, growing organisation with entrepreneurial spirit
