Description

This is a critical role to lead and drive our 3rd party Retail business in a growing and successful market. As our Head of Key Account Management you will develop and execute the Customer strategy for Germany in the electrical retail channel. You will manage, coach and train the Key Account team and support them to overachieve their targets.

The Key Account team manages the relationships with our biggest customers to ensure joint business plans are negotiated and executed and is key interface to deliver in market plans.

Accountabilities

Commercial focus with responsibility for Sales out, cost management of BBI and IBI, and delivering performance against key metrics as set out in the P&L:

  • Drive effective strategies that optimise retail opportunities and Dyson profitably in line with total market goals
  • Responsible for delivering monthly sales volumes and communicating to the management team and wider business any changes to budget, target or LE
  • Working with Marketing and Finance to plan and execute below the line investments to deliver the best return on investment
  • Leading the planning and execution of our new product launches with key customers
Develop a deep understanding of Dyson’s retailers and their objectives and has the ability to influence at all levels to deliver business plans:
  • Conduct regular meetings with key contacts within the trade to ensure customer account plans are on track
  • Annual top to top meetings between Dyson senior personnel and key customers
  • Lead account team for all major trading agreements and subsequent negotiations with customers; drives defensible European trading strategies
  • Champions and delivers key customer initiatives both within Dyson and with the customer. (e.g. Category management, in store, returns etc)
  • Work effectively with key functions in Dyson to promote the sales objectives

  • About 10 years’ experience of working in a high performing sales team
  • Have led successful sales teams
  • Sell through based mindset
  • Excellent team leadership abilities - empower and develop members of team
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • High level of communication skills both verbal and written (in English & German)
