Managing a team of 11, the main purpose of the role is to plan, lead and execute the brand building, category building and communication strategy for all Dyson consumer products in India. The team includes 3 category management teams, a digital marketing team and an events / activation team. A large part of our awareness and outreach is digitally focused.

The role reports to the General Manager for India.


Develop marketing plans which will drive sales growth, market share and positive brand attributes
  • Lead the strategy formulation for existing and new consumer segments.
  • Develop propositions and programs to drive business
  • Formulate and execute marketing plans to differentiate Dyson, build brand equity and drive consumer demand and finally sales
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis, including product and claim analysis, to 
develop counter strategies and initiatives
Deliver programme of marketing activity
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to execute go-to-market strategies, ongoing support and plans including new product launches, advertising creative, media planning, channel strategies, public relations, point of sale, promotions etc.
  • Be responsible for development of effective brand communications with heavy focus on Digital platforms 
  • Manage key relationships with Group marketing and external agencies
  • Ensure alignment and consistency in global and local messaging, and propose where we need to differ from global approach
Define product marketing agenda
  • Finalize range amongst categories to match consumer need and maximise profitability
  • Work with sales to implement channel/partner level range strategy
Build and manage relationships and be a leader
  • Build strong relationships with external agencies and internal stakeholders
  • Build a long term vision for the function and lead the team
  • Exhibit a holistic approach to business beyond marketing and be a role model for the larger organization
  • Fix things that you can see need fixing
  • Identify problems and find solutions


Experience and Education
  • Overall 13-18 years marketing leadership experience across leading multi-national consumer organizations in brand /  product marketing roles with a proven track record
  • Experience should necessarily include significant experience in digital businesses or managing digital marketing in non-digital companies
  • Experience leading a team is required
  • Master’s Degree in Marketing or a related field preferred

The successful candidate will receive a competitive compensation package which will include a base salary and annual performance bonus scheme.
