IP Administrator (FTC)

About us

A member of our Intellectual Property Team will be going on maternity leave and we are looking for an experienced IP Administrator to join the team and provide cover for a FTC. The successful candidate will be motivated, organised and have strong attention to detail.

About the role

This is a 12-14m FTC full-time role including duties similar to the below:
  • Data inputting
  • Creating IP rights in patent management system (Anaqua)
  • Processing granted documents and storing appropriately
  • Assisting with instructing payment of renewals & updating official deadlines 
  • Filing new IP rights (patents, designs & TMs)
  • Filing SFD (F7, Formal drawings, Exam report responses) using EPOline online filling software
  • Preparing and submitting IDS insts to US agents & uploading related art into patent management system (Anaqua)
  • EP claims translations & validations
  • Other general IP admin duties

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone that ideally holds the CIPA administration qualification or has strong IP administration experience. The ideal candidate will be someone that can demonstrate IT literacy, are quick to learn, organised, reliable and have strong attention to detail. They would need to demonstrate working well under pressure and working to strict deadlines.
Due to the nature of the department it's essential that you take pride in your work and can commit to being highly accurate in your duties. Whilst you will be working in a team, the ability to work on your own and using your initiative is essential. Lastly, the pace at Dyson is incredibly fast so therefore you must be comfortable with working at pace.
