As a global company expanding into new frontiers we need to ensure that we are compliant on immigration to ensure the future success of our business and the continued success in the countries we already operate.
Working with our People teams initially here in the UK and our immigration vendor the role will update systems and processes to ensure that we remain complaint with legislation and identify areas that we need to improve upon.
This role will work with our SME’s in other Markets to make our systems for recording visa’s and work permits follow a globally agreed process to ensure that if we are audited in any of our operating countries we continue to have the ability to sponsor migrant workers.
This person needs to be collaborative, a passion for Dyson and for helping Dyson to be at its best, enthusiasm to learn and grow, exceptional communication, people and influencing skills and a keen eye for detail. And – since we have not yet reached our goal – you’ll need resilience, commitment and a problem solving approach too. In return, the work is varied, unusual, highly rewarding, and at times, very high profile. 
The role sits in the People team here in the UK, in our Global Mobility space. 


  • Updating talent on CoS allocation and requesting further copies through UKBA (home office)
  • SMS updates on our Sponsor Management System (leavers, change of addresses and job roles) 
  • Working with our HRIS Specialists to develop reports and flags needed for UK compliance 
  • Supporting employees/line managers/People department colleagues with visa applications
  • Provide training to wider People department colleagues on UK right to work requirements and visa
  • extension queries
  • Supporting line managers and People Advisors in the visa process/procedure, cost estimations, etc.
  • Managing the database of all visa documentation, both an Excel tracker and electronic filing system
  • Updating current UK HRIS with the correct visa/passport information
  • Carrying out right to work checks for employees extending or switching visas
  • Auditing of new starter data to ensure that we are compliant under the sponsor management license
  • Processing invoices and recharging the market for recruitment costs
  • Attend monthly calls with the Vendor’s UK team in terms of problem cases and any UK immigration updates Dyson need to be aware of
  • Keeping up to date with Brexit developments for our EEA workforce
