Junior Paralegal

Dyson seeks a Paralegal to support the Global Operations and Projects Team in their management of commercial legal issues across our operations in the UK and SEA. This is a role that provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and contribute as part of a dynamic and ambitious in-house legal team.  
This Paralegal position will be dedicated to providing day-to-day administrative support on a number of commercial contract, regulatory and compliance, and litigation matters. This position will afford invaluable experience and exposure to an array of legal issues and the opportunity to develop professionally within a fast-paced and dynamic organisation.


Your day to day duties will involve:
  • Supporting on general commercial legal matters across the business, helping to navigate complex issues with an output and delivery focus
  • Responsibility for the NDA approvals process including reviewing and negotiating NDAs and coordinating with internal stakeholders to identify key issues and concerns
  • Assist with drafting and maintaining enterprise-facing documentation in particular around our precedents and templates, including contract control processes, risk assessments and self-help materials 
  • Supporting with the preparation and delivery of relevant training programmes for the Global Operations and Project teams and the wider business
  • Maintaining an up to date and comprehensive knowledge of developments in your area of law, and supporting with the dissemination of that information to peers and the business accordingly
  • Conduct research on applicable regulations, laws, and legal articles
  • Collaborating with other members of the legal team and the business to devise efficient strategies for the provision of legal services that are fit for future growth and match our blueprint for success
  • Legal administrative support for the team including travel bookings, arranging meetings and events, vendor set up and purchase order management, new starter set up and leaver requests and managing mailboxes and team shared drives
  • Attend to basic clerical tasks, such as photocopying, making and receiving phone calls, and fielding correspondence


You will have:
  • A Law degree or equivalent with at least one year’s experience at a reputable law firm or within a large business environment 
  • Familiarity with electronic document management and filing systems
  • Superior research skills
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
  • SharePoint and Relativity proficiency preferred
