The primary focus of the Key Account Manager is to achieve the sales target with ethical and mannered way of working. Reporting to the National Key Account Managers Coordinator, he/she will be required to engage with internal Sales, Marketing and other business functions to develop sales plan and activities then implement these across the Sales team and assigned key account.
Deliver volume sales targets and CAP targets
Develop an annual account plan that sets out the key strategic aims for Dyson and the retailer
Agree, update, communicate and administer all areas of the promotional planning cycle
Manage an A&P budget in line with forecasts and promotional activity
Deliver an accurate twelve month rolling forecast that accounts for; sales trends, promotions, seasonality, distribution changes, NPD and product exits.
Understand retailer profitability through the regular use of a margin tracker
Achieve the highest standards of execution for the Dyson brand on the Internet and in stores
Maximise shopper and consumer understanding through category management
Use data regularly to improve compliance and in store standards
Responsible for NPD roll out plan across the big chains and ensure a high standard
Provide the field with the necessary tools to guarantee high levels of execution
Work with district manager, city manager and engage with field team at monthly meetings
Responsibility for conversion on the customer website
Deliver compelling, well thought through and inspiring presentations to the retailer
Build the Joint Business Plan of the customers and align each department through it (sales, marketing, finance).
Hold regular face to face meetings with retailer buying Team
Organise and deliver Quarterly Business Reviews between senior personnel at Dyson and retailer
Work with internal departments to drive through agreed customer initiatives.
Manage all areas of the Retailer/Dyson partnership
Effectively manage a network of contacts within Dyson and the retailer across different functions
Ensure Supply chain KPI’s and efficiencies are set and delivered against.
Manage Annual Terms Negotiations
Align the organisation to your account and negotiation objectives
Work to achieve Pricing Terms within the retailer
Communicate and deliver against an agreed timetable
6. Deliver a high quality of work and contributions to Overall Account team, whilst providing day to day guidance and development of direct reports
Lead through example and demonstrate leadership in all team meetings
Coach and motivate less experienced Account Managers or District managers
Fulfill other duties as required
