Lead Programme Solutions Architect (Automotive)

Reporting into the Head of Solution Architecture for delivery alongside the Head of Enterprise Architecture for overall technology strategy, the role will be responsible for leading the definition of the end-to-end technology architecture and roadmap for the Automotive IT programme.


  • Understand and align business drivers and subsequent requirements to enabling technology;
  • Leading the definition of the Target Architecture for the Automotive business, including our “Route to Manufacture” and “Route to Commercial” in the context of the broader Enterprise Architecture for Dyson as a whole
  • Leading the development of the Technology Roadmap for the Automotive IT Programme and associated architecture transition states
  • Working closely to orchestrate Solution Architects and Technical Leads to ensure solutions align with Dyson’s overall IT Strategy
  • Leading and maturing architectural governance within the IT Programme to achieve compliance with wider Dyson framework
  • Ensuring quality and consistency of end-to-end architecture as per Dyson’s standards and guiding principles
  • Advising and guiding the stakeholders and the Programme on technology selection and alignment
  • Encourage good practice and ensure architecture standards are met


  • Experience in successfully leading Architecture Blueprinting activities in support of complex transformation programmes
  • Experience of both Enterprise and Solution Architecture within fast moving delivery programmes
  • SAP S/4 HANA experience highly desirable
  • Experience of Manufacturing industry essential, Automotive preferable but not essential
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to orchestrate multiple stakeholders and domain specific architects to deliver successful outcomes
  • Architecture Domain knowledge in applications, data and technology
  • ERP, MRP, CRM, Digital & experience of TOGAF not essential, practical experience more important
