Description

This role will use experience of leading and managing large scale change and transformation programmes. The role will focus on providing project governance & management for legal projects within a transformation programme, and measuring performance of programme delivery. The role requires the ability to stand-up programme governance, manage a portfolio of legal projects and matters, and proactively address challenges before these impact Dyson or Dyson Legal Teams

Accountabilities

  • Driving the Dyson Legal Transformation Programme
  • Managing and continually refreshing our global legal project and matter portfolio 
  • Establishing consistent end-to-end project governance for the legal project and matter portfolio 
  • Leading cross-function specialists and teams, necessary to effectively execute legal projects 
  • Determining the cadence for legal projects and providing a forward agenda for legal specialists 
  • Working with legal department leads to enable effective provision of project management skills 
  • Establishing performance measures across our legal projects and matters, and measuring performance 
  • Managing legal partners and their performance, including applying contract and financial management

Skills

Candidates will bring a combination of business rigour, commercial nous and strong project management skills. A good understanding of the role of legal teams in managing enterprise risk and the project management skills to consistently deliver successful outcomes will be essential. Candidates must demonstrate excellent project management skills and be able to evidence sophisticated relationship and influencing skills across all levels of an organisation from junior employees to c-suite executives. Experience and knowledge of legal services, processes and legal tech would be advantageous.
Essential skills: 
  • First class project management, governance and reporting skills 
  • Outstanding influencing and communication skills
  • The ability to successfully manage a varied portfolio of projects and matters 

Desirable skills: 
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience 
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of lean operating principles to drive effective and efficient change within transformation programmes.
