As the Marketing Project Manager in a fast paced team leading a high impact strategic initiative beyond the core business, you will help to transform the next generation of Dyson.   Beyond being responsible for providing prioritization and structure to enable efficient execution of assigned projects, you will be able to provide recommendations on how to continuously improve Dyson’s processes. 
A successful person in this position must be skilled in driving complex new product launches from initiation to delivery through careful planning, schedule management, influencing, and communicating status and issues to key stakeholders. You must be adept at handling a variety of challenging situations and team dynamics in order to successfully complete projects within scope, schedule, cost, and quality.  An expertise in Marketing is necessary as well as a working knowledge across other business functions (sales, supply chain, finance, IT, etc) in order to lead projects from start to project completion. 


Manage and deliver complex Marketing projects (including new product launches) from planning to launch execution:
  • Manage planning and execution of new product launches in the US market.
  • Define and execute cross-functional communication plan for product launch timelines, dependencies, issues, risks and results across teams and to stakeholders, including senior executives as needed.
  • Act as a focal point for the team and facilitate collaboration and progress by triaging requests/issues, removing barriers, being an expert problem solver. 
  • Work with UK Global Commercial Delivery teams to monitor product and creative delivery updates, working with the local team to create mitigation plans and escalate risks as needed.
  • Keep the cross functional team on track, raising and monitoring risks before they become issues to ensure on time product launches.
  • Lead critical project milestones, stakeholder reviews, status update meetings, including creating agendas and sending out meeting notes.
  • Review all project activities at end of a project, complies lessons learned, assesses project adherence to targets and suggest improvements for the revision of the new product launch process.
  • Collaborate with the UK Commercial PMO team to update Global Commercial New Product Launch process based on local market lessons learned.
  • Partner with each category head and each Group Commercial PMO to plan NPD launches by retailer and by channel (in store/ online), ensuring all assets are briefed and delivered on time – including machines.

Manage annual budget and media planning process for Marketing:
  • Work with Finance, Demand Planning and Channel Management teams to plan Annual Budget Planning process, including key activities, owners and review meetings.
  • Lead US market Annual Media Planning process in collaboration with the Global Media team and US Product Category and Media teams.
  • Identify key milestones and delivery dates in Media Budget Planning to align with Financial Annual Budget Planning process.
  • Facilitate budget planning meetings, ensuring we reach a resolution within given time frame.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support marketing team on weekly meeting agendas, and facilitating as required, to ensure timely communication at strategic and tactical level, and timely decision making.
  • Evaluate existing local processes and procedures in order to drive process improvement and adoption of best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation.
  • Provide coaching support and training for team members to build project management skill and capability throughout the organization.
