Media Analyst


Starting salary will be based on experience and credentials

About the role

  • Partner with Media Director and agency on the development of metric framework across full funnel media execution from brand to demand
  • Partner with strategy/analytics team and provide data visualizations and reports to internal paid media team & Category teams to drive key business decisions
  • Assist in the testing design and performance measurement of media experiments in tandem with media agency 
  • Working with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams to maintain proper classification of large and complex media datasets
  • Mix Modeling (MMM) to assist Mindshare (media agency) in the QA and data collection aspect, as well as working alongside our Analytics team during the data collection process (focusing on paid media specifically)
  • Working closely with Mindshare analytics team to bring forth analyses that ladder up to our learning agenda and business objectives
  • Play a pivotal role in the education and adoption of ecommerce media measurement framework beyond last click attribution 
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
  • Build and analyze key metrics to uncover trends and root causes of issues
  • Develop effective data visualizations and analytical solutions that provide stakeholders access to critical metrics and insights
  • Media ad hoc reporting (Quarterly Media Reviews, Quarterly Category Reviews, campaign post-mortems, etc.)
  • Working with Mindshare and the Insights team on development of brand measurement framework to further ingrain insights with media strategy and the measurement of branded media
  • Work with the Media Manager in data pulls for content partnerships+ influencer to create recaps with key learnings
  • Drive innovation and vision for measuring engagement and retention paid media efforts

About you

  • Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative area, or proven success in quantitative role
  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytics function
  • Proven track record at driving collaboration between teams 
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt to new software, technologies, and methodologies
  • Experience and significant exposure to media measurement techniques and concepts, coupled with deep understanding of e-commerce measurement landscape
  • Storytelling - Can easily distill complex analytics into simple themes that are appropriate for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to accurately test, verify, and debug the data collected by digital analytics platforms for the purpose of quality assurance
  • Technical skills to troubleshoot paid media data issues, resolve data pipeline gaps and improve data infrastructure and fidelity
  • High degree of confidence and understanding regarding the following media technologies—their purpose, how they work, how they store data & how that affects integrating datasets from these technologies
  • Google stack (DV360+SA360+GA360)
  • Ad Servers
  • Demand Side Platforms
  • Experience handling large data sets and preparing data for testing and analysis. A sharp attention to detail for data quality assurance
  • Sophisticated proficiency in Excel (pivot-tables, V-lookups, graphics) Tableau and SQL.
  • Solid understanding of data infrastructure 
  • Basic descriptive and inferential statistical methods, regression/correlation analysis
