About the roleThe APAC Centre Of Excellence (CoE) is a Dyson team responsible for maintaining the visual identity and brand reputation of Dyson across the key markets of Japan, Korea, India, Southeast Asia and Australia. We work collaboratively with local Dyson creative teams to deliver seamless consumer experiences that instil an understanding of and confidence in the products performance, distinct commercial benefits to the business and ultimately brand advocacy and loyalty.
As the Motion Designer in the APAC CoE you will understand our brand, our philosophy and ethos inside out and use this understanding to ensure all local Dyson content and assets are consistent with our global image. You will work with the marketing team to ensure that briefs are strategically right for our brand and appropriate for our business, balancing short term sales objectives with the longer term building of equity in our brand.
Reporting to the APAC CoE Regional Creative Director, you will be responsible for creating motion graphics to support all our business focused communications for both internal and external audiences.
You will be editing global assets into cohesive Dyson product stories that highlight our technology, engineering and key features. These assets include film, animations, static imagery and infographics.
You’ll then adapt and apply these assets to fit a broad range of offline and online formats, tailored to suit local consumer viewing behaviors.
You’ll also be conceptualising new motion designs and short form video content for online and social channels, based around key local events, campaigns and promotions.
You’ll be given briefs identifying audience insights and business challenges that will then require you to storyboard concepts, create animatics or motion comps that will be put together into cohesive campaigns presentations shared with key Dyson stakeholders.
You’ll also work very closely with other designers, copywriters and data analysts to ensure every solution is consistent with Dyson’s visual identity and messaging tone while delivering measurable results.
About youYou will have a degree or equivalent in Multimedia or Motion Graphics with at least 2-4 year’s experience in an agency or in-house environment. Additionally, you’ll have:
- A strong portfolio or reel of motion design executions showcasing real-world work created for APAC clients
- Outstanding After Effects, Final Cut Pro or Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator skills are required.
- A strong technical understanding of typography and grid systems is essential. You will need to understand data and statistics in order to graphically represent them in a clear and compelling way.
- Knowledge of Powerpoint software and putting together presentations that are visually led and easily understood
- You’ll need an eye for animation and some experience in briefing or creating high-end 3D/CGI imagery animations
- Confidence in presenting in English is required with a second APAC language (conversational level) a bonus
