About the role

As a National Account Manager you will manage the relationship between Dyson and relevant Australian retailers at Head Office level and will be responsible for both the tactical direction and strategic sales plans. The core component of this role is to grow Dyson sales volume, revenue, gross margin and market share in consumer products in Australia. You will understand your accounts and retailer objectives and build strong relationships that allow you to influence at all levels in order to deliver account and business plans. 
You will deliver sales and Gross Margin for your account portfolio, which will cover all Dyson categories for a number of Australia's largest retailers and department stores and will use the Anaplan forecasting tool to manage costs and monthly volume demand. You will regularly analyse relevant sales in/sales out, stock on hand and all available data to identify underlying trends and immediate sales opportunities, ensuring sales staff implement the identified opportunities.
Together with our retail partners’ key stakeholders, you will conduct regular meetings, develop strategies and conduct robust business discussions to ensure customer accounts are on track, and create quarterly and annual Joint Business Plans. You work internally with our Field Sales team to ensure they have the correct tools to execute plans in store and maximise momentum.

About you

You are an experienced National Account Manager with an entrepreneurial flair and proven track record of delivering consistent sales results. You will have previous experience in a similar role and that will ideally come from the consumer goods or retail industry. It's important that you have experience in building and owning relationships with various levels of stakeholders within your account portfolios. 
You’ll be able to demonstrate that you are a commercially minded negotiator, able to have robust business discussions backed by data and analysis. You will have a thorough understanding of budget control and will be able to demonstrate bottom up forecasting experience and financial expertise, experience with Anaplan would be a bonus and strong Excel skills are a must.
