Description

As a senior figure within the national Accounts team, you’ll be responsible for driving sustainable profit and volume growth across our Pureplay customers. You will have end to end ownership of your customer, and you'll work collaboratively within Dyson to bring your customer strategy to life.

Accountabilities

  • As the National Account Manager for Pureplay, your role will be to deliver budgeted gross margin and volume targets within your retail partner 
  • You will work collaboratively to develop an annual account plan that sets out the key strategic aims for Dyson and your retail partner. As the owner of the customer relationship you will play a leading role in our NPD launches, range reviews, and product forecasting
  • You will manage multiple functional relationships within your retailer across sales, marketing, supply chain, and you will ensure you have a partnership driven approach to account management
  • As our National Account Manager you will have full accountability for negotiation of trading terms. You will also be responsible for aligning key internal stakeholders to help deliver the agreed objectives
  • You will be take ownership of quarterly business reviews with your retail partner, and work with key internal and external partners to execute the agreed initiatives
  • Your role as our National Account Manager is to achieve the highest standards of execution for Dyson across all customer touchpoints within your account. You will also work collaboratively with category management and brand marketing to ensure consistency and quality of execution across all Dyson categories
  • You will lead a National Account Executive and support them through regular coaching and training, as well as offering support to peers and other team members

Skills

  • As our National Account Manager you will have a proven track record in successful national account and channel management (Pureplay) for a leading consumer brand, or you will be operating at a senior level within retail buying for an online focused retailer
  • You will demonstrate true account ownership, and the ability to build cross-functional relationships across all levels within your retail customers
  • You’ll come from a background where high sales and profit growth is expected, and you will demonstrate the ability to work in a company driven by innovation and change
  • As our National Account Manager you will demonstrate an eye for detail with your excellent analytical skills, as well as being able to spot an opportunity to sell and drive incremental growth
  • You will have strong influencing and negotiation skills, as well as confidence when delivering internal and external presentations
  • You’ll also come with a background in people leadership, and have tangible experience of leading and developing others
  • You will be educated to degree level or equivalent
