Description

Reporting to the Head of Application Development Practice, you will be responsible for:

Accountabilities

  • Designing and delivering technical solutions to support Dyson’s big e-commerce ambitions.
  • Working with managers and technical leads across the organisation to ensure the right technical solutions are designed and implemented.
  • Working in a cross-functional team – with a product owner, business analysts, and QA – ensuring that the work fed into, and processed through the development scrum teams is of the right technical quality.
  • Managing a full stack development team to ensure they are executing assigned projects in an effective and timely way to deliver accurate and quality results
  • Partnering with the Project Management team on all web application projects to ensure they are properly scheduled and resources assigned
  • Collaborating with marketing and new product development teams to understand and solve their web based application needs, including maintaining and modifying existing applications along with creating new applications as required by the business
  • Ensuring that all web based applications are operationally maintained and up to date
  • Identifying application weaknesses and recommends solutions that utilise the most efficient and current technologies to improve the application

Skills

  • Previous team management experience
  • Professional experience with one or more programming languages
  • Server-side CSS preprocessors, such as LESS and SASS
  • Experience with large-scale web sites and applications
  • Experience with version control software
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
  • Anticipates project needs before they arise; prioritises multiple tasks effectively
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies
  • Desirable:
  • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience
  • Integrating Front End work with a CMS
  • Operational infrastructure experience
