Reporting to the UK PCB Team lead, the successful candidate will become part of a busy ECAD team working within Research Design and Development (RDD), helping to generate integrated and robust PCB designs for an expanding Electronics group. Initially your job will be to engage with the training and opportunities provided as you undertake the variety of design and associated tasks assigned to you. These will gradually expand both in scope and responsibility commensurate to your own ability and progress, with the ultimate aim and expectation being for you to achieve PCB Engineer status. Therefore you will be expected to continually and proactively develop your skills and knowledge in order to achieve this ambitious objective.

Engage with learning opportunities and objectives
Endeavour to develop CAD skills, to achieve a good level of competency
Endeavour to build understanding of Dyson BiC PCB design & DfX principles and objectives
Apply this by working with RDD teams to help develop new PCB design solutions
Contribute to team/department level initiatives & change projects
Basic PCB design activity
Help maintain & update schematic databases
Understand and adhere to PCB design process and practices
Maintain supporting documentation to ensure accurate handovers
Be consistent & accurate
HNC Engineering or equivalent as a minimum
BEng degree in Electronic Engineering, or other relevant discipline, desirable
Any previous technical experience could help, e.g. Lab Technician, but not essential
Specific experience not mandatory, but a demonstrable aptitude and familiarity with graphical packages will help
PC and office applications literate
Proven ability to communicate through a variety of media
Ability to plan, prioritise and co-ordinate with the work of others
Proactive, structured approach to problem solving coupled with good analytical skills
Methodical & organised approach with attention to detail & accuracy
Self-motivated, strong driver for results and target focused
Ability to work as an effective team member.
