Description

Develop and lead key strategic and operational sourcing activities for Dyson Philippines with engagement and support from cross-functional teams and key stakeholders. Develop and effectively manage the local team and align with global stakeholders. Drive the development of local suppliers and manage their performance along global standards.

Accountabilities

Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate the local PH procurement team and optimize efficiency and impact in joint collaboration with global procurement functions and local stakeholders.

Drive localization of parts, modules and equipment in line with global sourcing strategies.

Lead & drive the strategic sourcing and project procurement deliverables of the Philippines Procurement Team across categories, Dyson Digital Motor and Commodities for Dyson’s global demand, fulfil global equipment procurement strategies with your peers & gain concurrence / consensus across all stakeholders (Operations, DDM, P&E, PE, Quality..etc).

Optimize, ensure the compliance of process, policy & procedure are meeting the business functionality across all categories.

Lead the team & strategies supplier selection & negotiation process, coordinating the relevant cross-functional team and ensuring best CQDR from the supplier-base for key sourcing activities.

Ensure, following contract award, that appropriate metrics are in place and mechanisms are deployed to effectively manage contract adherence. Drive a continuous improvement on entire program’s flexibility & efficiency to advance procurement processes, governance and capabilities across the group.

Take ownership and secure on-time-in-full status of PH product procurement projects.

Problem solving and analytical skills to be able to assess problems thoroughly and drive logical and fact based conclusions under limited timeframe/short lead time development cycle.

Assertiveness / negotiation - readiness to lead cross teams to take remedial action when required and ensure decisions are made when required.

Integrity / confidence under pressure – always presenting the facts no matter what the circumstancesCategory/Service/Product Knowledge – Moderate or developed knowledge of PE categories, Commodities and Large Project Management activities. However particularly understand the total Procurement & Supply Chain Management functions thru strategy; demonstrates the ability to understand the market globally; anticipates trends. Have an experience and capacity to manage average 300/500 items per projects.

Communication & presentation confident and clearly communicates at all levels using appropriate tools, techniques and channels in different situations; understanding the needs and wants of respective stakeholders.

Skills


  • Degree qualified in Business/ Procurement and Preferable in Engineering field
  • 15 years’ experience above in procurement with focus in direct procurement categories
  • Extensive background in procurement and able to demonstrate success in delivering targets that exceed normal expectations
  • Understands and operates Supplier Relationship & Supplier Performance Management
  • Cross functional project management
  •  Manage teams of up to 15 members in functional and regional matrix organization set up
  • Global outlook and exposure to different cultures and challenges
  • Exposure to cross-functional working and leading cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record in delivering results in favourable and unfavourable conditions
  • CIPS, SAP Oriented is desirable.
