Program Manager - Interiors

This role sits within the interiors team of our automotive function and plays a pivotal role in delivering our vision.


•Translate program VPP into interior milestones.

•Develop interior program commodity timing plan from concept to Job1 plus 90d.

•Track progress against deliverables.

•Liaise with all stake holders and key interfaces.

•Identify key commodity interfaces and critical path to success.

•Define, monitor and manage surface released delivery.

•Generate, collate and monitor interior budgets relating to piece cost, tooling and ER&D.

•Develop key metrics and monitor performance.

•Align, agree and monitor gateway milestones and agree deliverables glide path, monitor performance and adherence.

•Develop and maintain change management system.

•Lead risk and issue management, Drive identification of risks and issues, record consistently, co – ordinated, risk mitigation, escalate as required.

•Lead and develop innovative solutions to classical program management issues.

•Correlate and manage DVP timing to program milestones – DV/PV/PPAP


•High level of tenacity and drive to deliver in a challenging environment.

•Ability to manage difficult situations.

•Proven experience of multiply interior commodity product launches – Concept to launch.

•In-depth knowledge of interior trim manufacturing and assembly processes.

•In-depth detailed knowledge of PPAP process and deliverables.

•Ability to competently present at executive management level.

•Able to demonstrate independent creative flair to solve complex challenges.

•Ability to liaise directly with suppliers and challenge lead time and deliver improvements.

•Ability to implement innovative program management techniques.

•Self-starter, motivated and driven to be successful and succeed.

•Ability to meet project timescales.

•Able to work as a team and integrate whilst challenging.

• Ability to resolve issues independently.

•Present finding in a concise, accurate, detailed way.

•High level hands on user of Microsoft office, project, Visio, Share point, PLM Background

•Ideal experience of working in a major interior first tier supplier coupled with an OEM environment.


• A degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline or equivalent.
