The Project Manager will be working in the Personal Care Project Management function embedded within Dyson’s wider RDD organisation. Reporting into the Personal Care Programme Lead in Singapore, the role entails working with multi-disciplinary project teams in different international locations spanning the operations, manufacturing, engineering and commercial functions to develop new Dyson products and manage change on existing products. Integrating and controlling the project schedule, ensuring stage-gate deliverables are met in a timely manner and communicating project status to senior management are key requirements. The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders (often in international locations) whilst challenging existing assumptions and ways of working are key skills in delivering this role.


  • Coordinate and ensure communication between teams to ensure efficiency; resolve conflicts and lead solutions.
  • Take an active, hands-on role to support the identification and resolution of problems.

  • Identify interdependencies between functions and facilitate cooperative working.

  • Develop and control the project schedule within Microsoft Project.

  • Implement an effective project governance process.

  • Challenge concepts in order to achieve the optimum design within the boundaries of time, specification and cost.

  • Ability to use project management skills in innovative ways and be flexible as this role develops.




  • Hold a degree or equivalent (Engineering, Operations or Project Mgt preferred).

  • Hold, or demonstrate an understanding of, formal project management qualifications.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project.



  • Minimum of 3 years project orientated work in a similar engineering high technology field demonstrating good knowledge of the project life cycle and business processes.



  • Outstanding project management capabilities (i.e. stakeholder management and communication, risk management, budget tracking, benefits analysis, estimating and planning, etc).

  • Strong communicator; ability to listen, and convey complex issues concisely and accurately.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build productive working relationships and influence others.

  • Excellent analytical skills; the ability to assess problems thoroughly and drive logical conclusions

  • Energy, enthusiasm, curiosity, common sense and no embarrassment in asking supposedly “silly” questions.

  • Comfortable interacting with senior executives without diluting unpleasant news or well-reasoned analysis.

  • The ability to multi-task and plan effectively when working with a variety of project teams in a fast-paced and often high-pressure environment.
