Description

As Research Scientist, you will enable the delivery of novel fluid treatment technologies from concept to an integrated solution. Working within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers, you will apply your expertise in chemistry and purification to deliver research that impacts new Dyson products.

Accountabilities

  • Delivery of technical projects focused on gas and water treatment 
  • Continually challenge to drive continuous improvement to ways of working. 
  • Deliver specialist knowledge to the senior management team in research and project reviews 
  • Bring a multifaceted approach to problem solving at technology and product levels 
  • Propose, research and develop new technology solutions to drive New Product Innovation 
  • Develop test and analysis capability to the highest standard to enhance Dyson’s ability to evaluate gas and water treatment technologies

Skills

  • Qualified in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering to a degree level or greater (e.g. masters) 
  • Prior experience of working in filtration or purification desirable 
  • The ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts 
  • Have prior experience of cross-discipline research projects involving multiple collaborators, desirably in the chemical industry
