Description

As our Retail Activation Manager you will develop and execute our Direct to Consumer Retail Activation Strategy for our owned and operated sites; Stores, Temporary Stores and Concessions. You will manage, coach and develop all the Store Managers and Temporary Store Team Leads and support them to over-achieve their targets, whilst creating a world class customer experience led by Dyson technology

Accountabilities

  • As our Retail Activation Manager you will be responsible for increasing our physical Direct to Consumer business, and managing the resources allocated in our direct retail locations across Italy. This will include; fixtures and locations, Dyson Demonstrators, retail staff, retail events, and retail activation
  • You will work closely and collaboratively with the Dyson Head Office (Local and Global) and Marketing teams to ensure the execution of our Direct to Consumer strategy, aligning the Store Managers and Temporary Store Team Leads
  • You’ll be responsible for the leadership and development of the Store Managers and Temporary Store Team Leads, providing constant support and engagement through coaching and feedback
  • As our Retail Activation Manager you will plan and monitor business performance, focusing on your key metrics of volume and gross margin. You will also be responsible for delivery of our retail metrics; interactions, demonstrations, conversion 
  • You will also be responsible for forecast daily sales at SKU level as well as providing weekly sales targets to your teams
  • With an entrepreneurial mind-set you will identify new opportunities for Direct to Consumer retail in key strategic locations throughout Italy. You will then be responsible for coordinating activation plans; investment through to sign off, choice of business model, set up of operations systems, staff recruitment
  • You’ll build and maintain the relationship with main external stakeholders including;mall directors, retail companies, brokers etc.

Skills

  • As our Retail Activation Manager you will have extensive experience working in a high performing operational retail team
  • You will come with proven leadership experience, both in a single store and multi-site environment, as well as having experience managing managers
  • You will be organised and have experience of project managing complex retail projects
  • You will be highly operational, not afraid to get stuck in on the front-line with your teams
  • As our Retail Activation Manager you will be commercially astute, with a proven track record of successfully managing a complex P&L
  • With an entrepreneurial mind-set you will be comfortable standing up for your ideas, and with excellent communication skills you will be able to engage and negotiate with your key internal and external stakeholders
  • You will be a self-starter, with the ability to see things through from an initial concept through to delivery. You will be solutions orientated, with a problem solving mentality 
  • You’ll be fluent in both Italian and English
