Retail Execution Manager


Depending on your qualifications and experience, we offer a gross annual salary starting of 66.500 € + performance related bonus

We want our Owners to receive world class experiences that exceeds expectations, explains our technology and drives sales. This is a key leadership role tasked with delivering world class Dyson ‘experiences’ to every shopper & owner across Dyson’s physical retail environment in Austria regardless of the channel (Direct/Concession/3rd party retail partners). The role also places a high focus on designing, delivering and executing effective training across all Dyson retailers, the retail sales team, and demonstrators covering all aspects of product knowledge and ‘why Dyson’ sales skills. 


Recruit, develop and lead our Expert & Stylist population (>25 FTE now, >50 FTE in 2020) 
  • Maximising shopper and consumer understanding of Dyson products through world class ‘experiences’
  • Leadership of Dyson Retail stores including Store Managers and supporting team, ensuring sales targets are met and controls are implemented
  • Leadership of Retail Development Management team each responsible for direct line management of 8-12 Experts & Stylists
  • Deliver sales plans for: Interactions / demo / conversion that ensure a high quality conversion ratio
  • Success measured in: Sales targets, owner satisfaction, Mystery shopping

Optimise Expert & Stylist coverage efficiency ensuring 100% coverage vs internal stakeholder requirements
  • Minimising vacancies & sickness
  • Maximising sales potential by finding the perfect balance of sales capability & time
  • Delivering within a clearly measurable budget of IBI spend
  • Develop & lead Retail Analyst to fulfil requirements of their role

Optimise Expert & Stylist capability by designing, delivering and executing effective training 
  • Across all Dyson retailers, the retail sales team, and demonstrators
  • Covering all aspects of product knowledge and ‘why dyson’ sales skills
  • Success measured in: Sales targets, owner satisfaction, Mystery shopping
  • Develop & lead Retail Training Manager to fulfil requirements of their role

Achieve the highest standards of execution for the Dyson brand in stores 
  • Maximise shopper and consumer understanding through category management
  • Communicate account specific activity to the Management team regularly
  • Use Account Manager data & feedback to improve compliance and in store standards
  • Provide the Regional Development Manager with tools to guarantee high levels of execution
  • Ensure that new product demo roll out across the retailer is of a high standard
  • Responsibility for conversion on the customer website

Fulfil other duties as required
  • Support the training and development of other Dyson employees e.g. Head Office based employees on new product demo
  • Organise critical communication events that involve all key stakeholders in the Retail agenda (typically an annual sales conference event but also periodically quarterly events or ad hoc events that cascade new product demo or changes in strategy)
  • Relish the opportunity to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role
  • Identify problems and find solutions


  • Previous sales leadership background (minimum 2nd line management responsibility)
  • Proven delivery of sales targets
  • Worked with and contributed to a high performing sales team
  • Has been exposed to senior level account negotiations and senior internal stakeholder negotiations in a Key Account Management role
  • Clear evidence of Budget control and forecasting across multiple product lines
  • High level of financial acumen and commercial awareness
  • Strong knowledge of the Retail industry preferably with an electrical manufacturer
  • Degree required
