Description

As the Project Manager - Retail Design and Development you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all of our retail projects, new product launches, and campaigns are planned and resourced to meet business needs.


Accountabilities

  • As the Project Manager - Retail Design and Development you will lead all new product development (NPD) launches for retail, as well as other key strategic projects
  • You will work closely with the Retail Programme Manager to plan and prioritise retail projects in line with the overall Dyson Group retail strategy
  • You’ll be responsible for driving delivery of all NPD projects through direct line reports and other Dyson retail functions; from brief through design, manufacture, installation and analysis, as well as resolving day to day challenges
  • Coming from a strong project management background, you will ensure that all projects are briefed on time, and that internal and external resource is efficiently planned
  • You will work with Dyson design and production functions to ensure the development, prototyping and production of a wide range of retail display fixtures
  • In building strong cross-functional relationships, you will work closely with the Dyson events team to ensure they have product awareness and a plan for any global launch events
  • You will also take an active role in managing the governance of the retail team, working with the senior leadership team to ensure that dates and agendas for key meetings, such as board level creative reviews, are met

Skills

  • You will have proven project management experience in either retail display or retail design, with considerable experience of managing projects to tight timelines
  • You will have gained this experience working directly for a retailer, or in a retail design/production agency, and worked on high profile retail clients
  • You will be qualified within at least 1 project management methodology; PRINCE2, Agile, APM, Lean Six Sigma etc.
  • As someone who is skilled at prioritization, you will have a proven track record of delivering a number of complex global projects
  • You will have a proven capability and experience of collaborating and leading cross-functionally, whilst influencing senior business partners across your business areas
  • As our retail estate is geographically diverse, you must demonstrate a willingness to travel when required
