Description

The Sales function is responsible for developing sales plans and driving sales in-market and in-store execution. The Sales Planning/Operations function will focus on supporting sales team to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of meeting sales target and KPIs.

Accountabilities

Build high quality on sales forecasting and analysis

  • Work with KAM and FSM in Bottom Up Sell-In / Sell-Out Forecast submission (by week, by channel, by SKU, etc.)
  • Develop annual budget and rolling forecast to redefines sales assumptions and strategies
  • Lead evolving data and reporting foundation to provide measurement and insight for better decision making
  • Ensure information requirements for Finance department are met, and that all financial information provided is accurate, timely, and properly formatted
  • Cooperate with supply chain team to make sure supply sufficiency in line with volumes forecast
  • Provide valuable and various sales analysis for management team and sales team

Plan pricing promotion to stimulate sales  

  • Develop a full annual promotion plan (by month, channels and SKUs, etc) Provide expected sales uplift from each as part of the sales forecast process
  • Have strong governance around promotion planning
  • Develop promotion analysis framework as required for tracking purposes plus analyze ROI on promotion investment
  • Ensure tracking sales objectives along with promotion effectiveness
  • Execute forth assurance having promotions and activities in sync with all business strategies

Analyze respective accounts sales trends

  • Analyse and report actual sales results vs plan and define action items to compensate the gap
  • Capture, consolidation and distribution of retailer sales out reporting and trade stocks
  • Plan and Report on demonstrator coverage, number of assisted sales by store by partnering with finance on ROI
  • Present provision of analysis for entire sales initiatives along with insight and Key account team, Marketing Manager and Sales Director

Manage profitability and efficiency


  • Align pricing promotion with finance and marketing

  • Measure efficiency of pricing promotion 

  • Provide monthly and quarterly back margin validation, with supporting evidence, before rebates are paid to retailers

  • Prepare and present channel as well as customer profitability reports

  • Merge and check nation-wide as well as individual channels’ sales result and activities

Oversee NPD Roll-out, Fixture and POSM planning  


  • Build up the NPD roll-out planning such as number of stores, allocation of products, conversion plan, etc.

  • Build up plan and execution by partnering with Retail Marketing & Trade Marketing.

Manage Sales Planning and Operations Team


  • Execute tactical plans based on Dyson Korea’s strategy and sales target and contribute to the achievement

  • Monitor sales planning and operations activity and results on regular basis and provide adequate coaching and solutions for the team

  • Develop and enhance the working procedures and processes to be more effective and valuable for long-term sucess

  • Ensure data accuracy in orders and invoices

  • Build up effective relationship and communication with sales/finance properly to align work process and month closing
  • Responsible for team members’ development and performance achievement

Skills

  • Over 8 years in solid experience in working in the field sales planning and operations

  • Comprehensive understanding of retail market

  • People management with 4-6 direct reports

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Finance or a related field

  • Ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business

  • Written and verbal skills - able to communicate at all levels of the business

  • Presentation skills

  • Strong team player and ability to work with the cross functional partners and senior management on all aspects of the organizational and planning skills
