Description

  • The Dyson Project Change Manager is a high calibre change manager, recognised for their leadership and change management capabilities.
  • You are capable of leading and taking the organisation on the journey of change, with first class communication and people skills.
  • You are commercially astute and used to working collaboratively across a number of different business functions e.g. Group IT, Group Commercial, Group Owner Experience and Markets (countries).
  • You can take complex issues and manage them simply, with the ability to articulate these back to senior level stakeholders.
  • You have experience in working across multiple EU markets and are sensitive to the local challenges, cultural differences and can engage and motivate the team to adapt to change.
  • You are used to managing projects or being the change lead on multiple projects / programmes.

Accountabilities

  • You will take a change management lead on core programmes being implemented by group functions such as IT transformations.
  • You will be managing the impacts to the business across EU markets and the relevant functions impacted within these markets e.g. Direct (Digital, retail), Customer Services, Warehouse and logistics, 3rd Party retail etc. 
  • Where a project is more ‘business lead’, due to the commercial and/or Operational requirements, you will project manage the end to end lifecycle of change, with IT making up a small part of your overall scope for delivery.
  • You will closely with the Head of Change Management to ensure all projects are delivered on time, to scope and to requirements.
  • Creates exceptional quality project setup documents detailing scope, assumptions, success criteria, risks, governance structure. • Diligent risk management with close management of effective mitigations, escalating risks and issues in project governance where necessary.
  • 3rd Party and/or outsourced supplier management required to deliver / support change
  • All project documentation is maintained and managed as per scope of role
  • Work closely with the HOC in improving how the business executes change across the EU markets, driving new ideas, ways of working and best practices.
  • You will not have any direct control over a budget or the financials relating to a project, this is managed via the IT Governance board and sign off processes in place prior to project delivery.
  • As part of our business change principles you will be expected to monitor and review (post project) the success of the project delivery e.g. benefits realisations, both hard and soft. In accordance with the business case.
  • Take personal accountability for quality and accuracy of change management and deliverables. 
  • Work in conjunction with the Head of Change to improve the quality of change management and transformation in market
  • Work with your peers, influencing and driving best practices that are at the right level for Dyson

Skills

Skills required:
  • Agile and prince 2 (Sprint vs waterfall approaches)
  • You are an experienced APMG Business Change professional
  • Lean/ six sigma certification
  • 3rd Party management skills 
  • Microsoft packages intermediate + (Excel, Word, PPT, Project, Visio etc)
  • International experience (EU preference)
  • Excellent communication skills and customer facing skills, ability to communicate complex ideas simply at all levels of the organisation.
  • Process focus and detail orientated without losing bigger picture.
  • Self-motivated/starter, dynamic and results-driven.
  • Team player and collaborative in approach.
  • Comfortable dealing with external suppliers in complex high pressured commercial arrangements.
  • Quick learner, hands on, willing to be flexible in tasks and activities taken on.
  • Ability to deliver and has a sense of humour under pressure.

Key experience required:

  • Excellent change management skills, using APMG and Lean methodologies to execute change focusing on our people, our processes, the systems and tools they use, whilst ensuring excellent communication throughout the lifecycle and scope.
  • Demonstrable experience of holding various project management roles in complex and large organisations
  • A proven record in delivery
  • Experience of successfully leading large multi-disciplinary project teams potentially across multiple organisations and locations.
  • Comms planning experience.
  • People capability analysis, managing the gaps, including an understanding of HR business process changes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels from exec to front line employees
  • Be able to think holistically and analytically and know when to take which approach
  • Commercially astute
