The Senior Commercial Manager - Outsourcing will own all the aspects of outsourcing that includes end to end supplier management of the outsourced providers, identification of outsourcing opportunities, working with stakeholders in converting those opportunities into possibilities, working with various teams in creating plan to execute and mitigate any pitfalls, including project managing the transition of work and finally managing the delivery in the initial phases of work transition. 


  • Relationship Management - lead all Supplier Management activity across one of the organisation’s largest strategic supplier.  Manage the creation, optimisation & risk mitigation from ongoing & effective Supplier Relationship Management across the range of services.
  • Governance - ensure continued operationalisation of an effective governance structure that delivers overall relationship oversight.
  • Commercial and Contractual – working with the internal operational stakeholders to manage the outsourced service providers to ensure they delivery to the contractual terms. Negotiating any commercial changes.  
  • Situation Analysis - analysing the company's requirements and identifying any "outsourceable" components.  Work with a variety of cross-functional teams to scope projects and identify requirements for possible outsourcing, tool enhancements & capabilities, and improvements in existing processes via offshoring/outsourcing.   
  • Outsourcing Options & Planning - analysing various options for the outsourcing model which is most appropriate in the circumstances. Identification of opportunities that support optimisation of cost through offshoring and outsourcing   
  • Project and Stakeholder management through the delivery cycle. Maintain a high level of accessibility as a general resource for teammates and cross-functional peers, including PMO, and capacity planning teams.
  • Provide consistent and accurate communication on project timelines. Operate with autonomy and aggressively drive issues to resolution.
  • Serve as a role model by displaying good judgment, a positive work ethic, and strong interpersonal skills. Professionally communicate and present to key decision makers and senior leaders of the business, including public and large group settings. 
  • Set vision on how to scale and transform small and large-scale service operations including vendor and location strategy, site expansion while mitigating risk.
  • Define and execute on strategies to drive performance, including quality, customer satisfaction and cost in partnership with Operational stakeholders.
  • Drive alignment on staffing and infrastructure investments with leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement through effective feedback processes to address policy, product, tooling challenges based on prioritized feedback from various stakeholders. 


  • 5+ years of outsourcing experience operating contracts and commercial terms.
  • Project management experience including planning, development, execution, measurement, and optimisation.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the gravitas to present to CEO level.
  • Strong motivational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the company domain, IT equipment’s, products and systems.
  • Experience working in a global remote team. 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex data in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Proven track record in a demanding, pace setting thought-leadership role.
  • Proven management skills e.g. issue resolution/trouble-shooting.
  • Experience in financial planning and Project Management with an inherent appreciation of quality and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to operate and develop senior level relationships.
  • Proven contribution to the delivery of complex commercial transition / transformation initiatives.
  • Strong leadership competencies; as the role holder is likely to be leading a team of people.
  • Ability to make sound business judgements based on information and business intelligence.
  • Ability to work across teams and drive opportunities through virtual teams.  
  • Ability to understand the linkage between data and the underpinning processes/information flows that move that data across the business.
  • Understanding of good/best practice in the delivery of processes and methods that are used across the organization
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrates commercial acumen that protects the organization against risk and deliver advantage to the business.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a technology or consumer-oriented environment 
  • Experience in a business process outsourcing consulting or program management role 
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities 
  • Bachelor or master’s degree 
  • Management Diploma / Degree in Finance or Operations management 
  • SIX Sigma Black Belt/Lean Sigma Trained / Certified or Similar   
  • Project Management Certification- Prince 2 / PMP or Similar
